I live not even a mile from this place. I used to eat there all the time but I quit for some reason. Not because of anything negative, just forgot it was there when I am hungry and want to eat hearty.I deliver from this location quite a bit. When I come, the parking is scarce but you do get lucky quite a bit, and are able to find a spot without a long walk. The store is somewhat small, a typical mom and pops eatery with limited chairs and tables. One window serves the food with one cook (from what I see). The wait isn't very long. There are multiple sauces available, looking homemade and fresh. Never came in and it looked unclean or like some wild animals were just there.The part that I like the most... And this comes from multiple deliveries... When I get their food and put it in the backseat of my car... It ells amazing! I can smell the different spices, the different meats, how they were prepared, the vegetables used and I can get an image of what someone ordered by just the aroma. (McDonald's and those fast food places... I don't know what I'm smelling. It just smells like McDonald's.)Nice neighborhood place to come in and get some food that you know you can trust the process and people. They take pride in what they serve.

I walked into the restaurant on a Saturday afternoon only to find that no one was there besides the staff and myself, it gave me some what of a prophesy feeling about my potential experience here. As I took my order they said no refunds are available, which in my opinion is a big red flag. My food was a burrito carna asada which I love eating from other restaurants, however when I had it the meat wasn't tender or juicy, it was very dry, which made the burrito itself very bland. Overall it wasn't the best burrito I ate, i recommend somewhere nice that has more savory flavor to the product. The service was was good , the atmosphere was kinda haunting as I was the only person there from when I arrived to when I left.

Tiny place if you plan on dining in. I ordered the fish tacos and they had a great appearance. But the smell was extremely foul. Probably old fish and they fried it to a crisp to mask the taste. I only took a couple of bites before deciding to just trash my order… I would not advise anyone to really come here at least for the fish tacos. Just take them off the menu if you can’t have decent fish.

Idk what happened but the Al pastor was BAD like I'd almost say maybe it was chicken! It was very fatty chewy and just stringy almost? The carne Asada fries were edible but I wouldn't get again nothing to write home about. The Cali burrito was again nothing special a little to salty and sour for my taste. There beans were the only thing I ate. Beans and salsa were fire.

I came to Durango Taco Shop today for the FIRST time, despite having lived very close by for four years!I was in search of the perfect queso-birria tacos, and I FOUND them here! The person working when I visited was Stephanie and she was just so nice and friendly, very helpful.I ordered my food ( three queso-birria tacos, which are beef), with some Jamaica ( say: Huh-My-Kuh) en español!!Despite having grown up very near the Mexican border, I had never tried Birria before today.Not only were these tacos amazing, but were one of the best things I’ve ever eaten! This place is tiny, with a small dining room, but what it lacks in space, it more than makes up for with its delicious food and friendly service with a smile; this is an example of a tiny little hidden gem. Go. Try. It. Today!
The food is great, I tried the menudo for the first time it was really good. But the service is horrible, the lady taking my order was on the phone with someone on her ear bud and really was not paying attention to the customer and was not friendly at all. Do I recommend this place yes there food is delicious, but the service not so much.

I just have to say bravo for those birria tacos! The last time I ordered from here was at least a year ago, because honestly I felt let down. I ordered birria tacos and was given cold corn tortilla tacos and consommé. Maybe it was an off day? But I never ordered again. Until I saw recent pictures of the birria which is what it's supposed to be! I mean, there are a little tweaks you can make. But flavor is on point! I will definitely be ordering from here again! Thank you for getting it right!!
