Absolutely loved this place. Twice I jave been here and both times I truly enjoyed the food. The staff are outstanding as well.
Came in for dine in around 730 pm and this restaurant didn't have any food. I was told they couldn't make my lemonade because they didn't have Strawberries. I tried to order chicken wings as an appetizer and there weren't any. My son wanted chicken tenders and I came for the shrimp that's being advertised and was told they were out of those items as well. I Felt sorry for the staff to have to work like that, my server seemed uncomfortable and embarrassed everytime she returned to inform me that they were out of something. We chose to leave and unfortunately will not be returning in the future.
March 16th, 2024. Approximately 1900 hours. Hostess no smile looks if she didn't want to be there. Asked for baked potatoes, which they were out, ok, it happens. The server brought drinks and stated they were out of straws, but everyone after us got straws that pissed me off. Did she stereotype us because we look Middle Eastern? Im have a beard, and we are Christians. $19 for chicken tenders, which the picture posted wasn't even worth a penny. We would go at least once a month, always a great tipper (I'm a bartender), but not anymore. Please stay away from this place.

Our server was a very nice older lady, but it was clear that she didn't have a lot of experience. On the other hand, we have been going to this exact restaurant since it opened and so much has changed for the worse. I am talking about over 13 years of going to this Famous Dave's! Well over 100 visits, but over the last year or 2, they have consistently gotten away from what made them successful! I judged all BBQ places by this exact Famous Dave's! What is wrong? The spicey mac and cheese is absolutely subpar now! Watery and tasteless, The ribs had zero texture to them like the boiled the meat to soften it up but they also had zero flavor. My nachos were ok but I don't go there for nachos and it was $13.99 and it was a very small portion for that price. The cup my soda came it had to be from the opening of the restaurant... it was filthy looking and all sorts of dingy to it! Lastly, the restaurant itself had all of the wall fixings removed that once were its hallmarks and showed life through the last 100 years, a very cool place indeed. The prices for BBQ in general have skyrocketed but paying for a shell of a BBQ place is just shameful! I guess that's why there were 3 tables occupied when we got there at 2pm on a Saturday?

This will be my last time coming here. I tried to like this place but they just keep over cooking the meat. I ordered last night for delivery and it arrived 10 minutes later like overcooked leather , I called for a refund they offered to replace it, I go in today and I tell them please don’t overcook so they made me wait in the lobby for 35 minutes only to bring this out. you know what keep my money!!! I’m never coming here again and how can I eat this it’s like boot leather!!!!
