Cool spot to buy local art, jewelry and tons of food trucks. Everything from all over the world. Lobster rolls, queso birria tacos, fish n chips, thai deliciousness...you get it. Finding parking can be a challenge but if you find a restaurant nearby and have a appetizer or quick cocktail they dont mind if you park there. Most just are happy for the business so the parking is free. I rate this as a 3.9 out of five for safety. Stay around the market area, some neighborhoods around there can be a little shady because it's very old and lots of housing that's inexpensive.

Definitely not worth seeing. It is the worst art I have seen ever and the whole place was not the vibe. It’s pretty sketchy.

First time going I tought it was just okay. Everything was pretty pricey....

Parking is a nightmare. people are rude. traffic is a nightmare. Overall a horrendously frustrating experience and couldn't even get in.

A bit too "chaotic" for my senior Mom's tastes. Dark, macabre, disturbed, malice filled art. Nice parking and transport shuttle to and from the venue.

We had a good time. There's lots of vendors to see and choose from. And lots of food!

First Friday was the highlight of our trip! The food, entertainment and handmade art was a perfect last night for our trip!

Fun crowd and lots of food trucks. Not enough places to buy water!

Hmmm. I've heard so much about this event, finally went to experience it. If you park at 500 S. Main parking garage you can take a free shuttle to the arts district. From the shuttle drop off walk toward Charleston and S. Main corner and you'll see the entrance to the first Friday. Its free to enter, its dog friendly, they have bars where police officers check your ID and place a "party" wristband on you. Decent selection of libations to pick from. The vendors at the first Friday range from artist, handmade cosmetics (soap, lotion), candles, incense holders, vintage reclaimed clothing, jewelry, hats. Also various art galleries you can walk into and explore. There are food trucks stationed inside as well. I was honestly expecting so much more and will say this event was lacking luster and did. It fulfill my expectations.

Have been here a few times and while it's easiest to just pay $15 for parking if you don't want to walk far (there are several spots to park for free by the way as well as spots on the street) anyway this place has a square pf like fourteen to twenty food trucks and well as triple to quadruple that for little and big art pop up spots with all types of cool art one would love. Had a chicken and noodles dish and the chicken was cooked perfectly on the grill. Also, had a nice Hawaiian shaved ice that is absolutely refreshing on a crazy hot summer night. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't been or Is even slightly interested in the arts scene in vegoose. They had a few gallaries open for fungible art. This is the first Friday of every single month in the summer and I believe it ends in October sometime. Not many tourists here which can obviously be a good thing. But I think any tourists that are into the arts scene would absolutely dig this place! Again well worth checking out!. It can be a little sketchy getting back to you're car sometimes so if you're a female I'd recommend having someone walk you to you're automobile.

Definitely recommend checking out the gallery spaces to see what local artists are doing. Was expecting this to be larger than it was considering all the hype I've heard about it but still glad I went to check it out. Wish there were more artist vendors though. Like another reviewer mentioned, it seemed like mostly food trucks and random small businesses that sell swap meet stuff like jewelry, pins, and bags. I think I only saw maybe 5 actual artist vendors with original work... Entry is free but good luck finding parking nearby! You either need to plan arriving early or do ride-sharing. Not sure how people manage to find parking nearby to be honest.
