Not sure about the bread yet. I must wait for my butter to soften a bit before diving into the rye bread and the three Bretzen (pretzel) type rolls. But I can tell from the looks and feel they (dark rye bread, pretzel sticks, pretzel, and pretzel roll) will all be wonderful.
The prices are typically high (relative to what Americans call bread - and the price for the same thing in nearly any German bakery in any German city) for good German bakery products in the US. Ditto for Metzgerei or deli type products. I don't understand why Fleischkäse/Leberkäse is so expensive; I assume there's a good reason. Bring cash to avoid CC fee.

All products were vundebah. Seevice & atmosphere were authentic to most german establishments outside of Germany. (Lol) headed back today for pretzels AMAZING!!!!!+ get there early for best choices.

You get really good service here! They offer advice and suggestions. The prices are not bad at all and quality of the food is great! Fantastic pastries! When I bring them in for the office, they are always a big hit!
They have beautiful and delicious breads and pastries. Very disappointing that they don’t have any boxes ( even for sale) to display goods. No plastic utensils or napkins. Everything goes in bags and gets squished together. They don’t accept 50s or 100s and then they add 3.5 % to your purchase price. It’s a shame the way they do business

First visit... very nice customer service. Helped us with what they have. Got a pretzel roll, cinnamon roll, and a sweet loaf of bread (and a Mars bar candy bar). Everything was really good and really fresh! I had never gone in because I assumed the prices would be high, but they really weren't... very much worth what we paid. They gained a new regular customer! Can't wait to try more stuff!!

No greeting today. I waited, then said hello first. The man behind the counter looks at me and says nothing. The woman he was talking to, who was on the other side of the counter, says hello to me, and they resume their conversation as if I weren't there. I don't know if she was another employee or not, but I did not feel welcome at all, so I just turned around and walked out. Very unpleasant, cold way to treat customers. I had actually stopped coming here for a while because it's a roll of the dice if a person is going to be treated nicely and made to feel welcome when they come in here. Some of the bakery has been quite enjoyable, so I've started coming in again once in a while, and have have just put up with the intermittent unfriendliness, but I think I'm just done now. Maybe there's another place I can get some nice pretzels, because at this point if I bought them here, they would just stick in my throat. Auf wiedersehen.
