We rarely go anywhere for breakfast foods as it isn't when we are ready for a meal out and usually it is just ho-hum. However, after voting, we wanted a good meal and randomly chose this spot nearby. Upon entering we were immediately greeted with friendly smiles and, although they were busy, they found us the next available table within 10 minutes. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the menu has more than just breakfast, which made us happy. We ordered the catfish meal and the wings meal and we were delighted when everything arrived because it looked fantastic! And it was great from sides to mains! The best part was that you can choose your bread and the attentive waitress mentioned that a choice that day was sweet potato waffle. I don't really like breakfast sweets but decided to give it a try. Holy moly! Probably my favorite part of the meal! I have never had a waffle with chunks of pillow-soft yams and, honestly, I will put it up there as one of the most tasty items in my life! Staff, pricing, service, quality, all 5/5. Kudos to Gritz Cafe for changing my mind about breakfast joints!
We had a WONDERFUL peaceful time dining in at this restaurant. The wait for a table was 10 min the food came out fast and the service was top notch. No complaints I really enjoyed this eatery. I definitely would come back to try different dishes. Today we had sweet potato waffle cheese eggs and catfish. My friend had a sausage eggs and cheese sandwich. The plate was cleared lol! If you’re in Vegas and looking for southern comfort food (they have breakfast,lunch,and dinner) that’s not but 12 min from the strip then here’s your place! I honestly didn’t expect too much but they exceeded!Enjoy

It’s a no for me. Idk if Vegas residents have no taste buds but it did not live up to the hype. Mac was 2/10. Grits ok. Waffle trash chicken had to be drowned in hot sauce to be any good. Potato bowl was literally plain potatoes and the meat and the eggs in a separate container. Lol a joke like I wish I took a picture. No effort put into these potatoes they weren’t breakfast potatoes that usually have onions bell peppers etc more like French fries. Would not recommend and that’s my honest opinion. Still mad I spent the money. I barely leave reviews but nah with the hype in these 4-5 star reviews. Someone needed to tell the truth.

The food, service, and music were phenomenal! I had the catfish and sweet potato waffle and my husband had chicken and butter pecan waffle. The portions are huge and the food is cooked fresh to order. Please don’t go into these peoples restaurant thinking your food is going to come out fast. It’s not. It’s going to come out HOT and FRESH! I had hot fish mouth trying to eat ? but it was well worth it!

The greeter at the door that looks like he played in five heartbeats. -Eddie Cain Jr was very rude.
The butter catfish, potatoes and butter pecan waffle was delicious.
What was not good was the baked mac and cheese, the yams had what taste like a ton of allspice and the corn bread stay away, it will suck the moisture out your mouth. Very gritty cornbread.
Our waiter was good.
Value for the money absolutely for some of us that were seated.
Truly one of the best spots outside the strip. Looking at $16-20 a plate but, if you're looking for southern breakfast in Vegas this is it.
