In Ethiopian culture, gursha (ጉርሻ) is a word and tradition that translates to "mouthful" and refers to the act of feeding someone a bite of food.

During my recent visit to Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of dining at Gursha Ethiopian Restaurant, and it was truly unforgettable. We tried the Awaze Tibs, Shekela Tibs, and Doro Tibs—each dish was rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and incredibly delicious. The meat was tender, and the injera paired beautifully with everything. Easily one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!

Mimi has a beautiful smile when she’s cooking and serving food to her customers! She’s genuinely passionate about her cooking and sharing her culture. Highly recommend the veggie platter and chicken tibs as shown in the picture!

Was here on business and a colleague suggested we try something different - I had never had Ethiopian yet he had. So glad we came out here; the food was fantastic and Amy was delightful. Not licensed but offie next door. BOYB. Great value and great food (the saving will cover an Uber each way too). Do visit :)

The food was amazing, go check it out. Only my second or maybe third time eating Ethiopian food and husband's first time. We had the lamb stew which they had as a special, I was slightly hesitant as I don't always like lamb dishes but I loved it. As well as awaze tibs which were my favorite (tender beef, onions and peppers in awaze sauce). And a lentil dish which I cant find the name of. Everything is served on top of a kind of spongey flatbread called injera and you tear off pieces of bread with your hands and pick up a bite of food with it. The sauces were spicy in that they had a lot of different spices in them, but the heat was not overwhelming. I would rate it a 5/10 for heat (I'm sure it's hotter if you eat the peppers but I avoided them). For dessert we had the baklava. Our server Emmy was great. The bill was I think $79 after tax before tip, which included 3 entrees and injera, extra injera to take home with our leftovers, two baklavas and two bottles of water, so I consider that a very reasonable price.

We took a 40 min detour from our road trip to eat here and it was the best road trip decision I’ve made. The food is nourishing and so delicious!! We topped off our veggie platter with Ethiopian coffee. Just incredible. I hope to come back many times.
