We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and usually enjoy it, but today was honestly the worst experience we’ve ever had.
We came in the morning and, like always, ordered the kids’ food first so they wouldn’t have to wait. My two daughters ordered the same meal one with scrambled eggs and one with over easy and my son ordered soup. They brought out the soup and one plate with scrambled eggs, but my other daughter’s meal never came. We waited, thinking maybe they were behind, but then all the adult meals came out while she still had nothing.
I asked our waiter, Roberto, about it, and he said he’d check. Still nothing. They even brought me the wrong dish before fixing it but my daughter still didn’t have her food. Then we started hearing arguing from the kitchen, loud enough for everyone to hear Roberto blaming the kitchen, the kitchen blaming him, and the morning staff snapping back and forth. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable.
When her plate finally came, it was wrong scrambled again instead of over easy. I told Roberto to just bring a side of over easy eggs so she could finally eat, but they started arguing again. Then Roberto came out trying to explain himself to my daughter’s grandpa, saying they “did bring it right” and that we were making a problem out of nothing. I stepped in and told him that wasn’t true. I know what my kids ordered and what over easy eggs look like.
Instead of apologizing, Roberto raised his voice at me and said it wasn’t a big deal. I told him it was a big deal my daughter had been sitting there hungry while everyone else ate. I walked out to calm down because I didn’t want to lose more of my cool in front of people. When I came back, he still didn’t apologize to me he apologized to the man at the table instead.
They eventually admitted they were wrong and said the meal was on the house, but by then it didn’t matter. Even the “over easy” eggs they finally brought weren’t right they were over medium. The whole situation was handled poorly from start to finish.
This wasn’t about food it was about how we were treated. My daughter felt ignored, and I felt disrespected. We’ve been loyal customers for a long time, but after how Roberto and the morning staff handled things today, I’m not so sure.

“Finally, a little piece of Cuba in Las Vegas!”
First time at Havana Grill and I left with a full heart. As a Cuban, I’ll tell you: this is the closest thing to home-cooked flavor I’ve found in all of Nevada.
Service is a 10: warm, fast, and with that spark only those who know Cuban hospitality understand. The vibe transports you: background music, tasteful decor that doesn’t fall into clichés.
If you’re Cuban and miss authentic flavors, or just want real Cuban food: run to Havana Grill! I already have an excuse to come back.
*P.S.: The closing cafecito… brutal!

the food was subpar the service seems to not really care and being asked buy photos seemed a little weird, it was a nice gesture, however, i wasn’t even properly addressed or even asked for anything (i.e water, food, names of server(s), etc..). i mean you don’t want to be constantly asked if one is okay but i felt like i was never asked. Vanessa was nice however and super sweet but my actual server wasn’t at all attentive. Even as im typing this im still waiting for my check and i asked for it about 10mins ago.

TLDR
- food was okay not horrible but not worth the price at all
- drinks had little to no alcohol
- service felt nonexistent
- not really worth it if out of the way to come here if you’re close i still wouldn’t suggest this place

Great Cuban food

Depending on where you visit, it’s not uncommon to find a number of restaurants that claim to have Cuban food. They may offer a Cuban sandwich or a few select dishes. I’ve eaten at a number of them across the country and none compare to Havana Grill in Las Vegas.
The ambience is not exotic but they have the music and the atmosphere to bring things together. The only other place in the country that I’ve had as good or better Cuban cuisine was in Miami FL. The people are friendly and happy to help with menu suggestions. Service is great. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

BAKERY REVIEW ONLY.

We ordered the Señorita, Coconut Masareal (I believe), and the Guava and Cream Cheese Pastelito. We enjoyed them in this order too, from favorite to least. The Señorita and Masareal were amazing. The Señorita was flakey on top, and a little doughy on bottom. The Masareal was fresh and not over powering with flavors, but very enjoyable. While the Pastelito was just okay.

The service was extremely friendly and attentive. They have an extensive bakery. I highly recommend the bakery at Havana Grill.
