Best Korean restaurant I’ve been to in the states. Everything was insane quality, even the side dishes. Service was excellent and everyone I ate with was so happy after the meal.

Went in for dinner with my husband tonight and the cuts of all the meats were soo good! You can definitely tell that it’s better premium quality than all you can eat places. We got the combo #2 with brisket, beef tongue, pork jowl, and pork belly. It also came with the steamed egg and a soup. We paired it with a bottle of Merlot! There was so much food left over that were pretty much set for our next meal hahah. And not to mention our servers were so friendly !! They prepared everything for us and explained all the dishes along the way. Thanks for an amazing dinner hobak! :):)

I’ve been coming here for years however, recently they charge a percentage for payment on credit card which made me sad and little embarrassed when I brought people to try this last time I came. I wish we were warned before hand that this was a new policy so we could’ve decided to get cash or come back another day. Great quality but I will be looking for alternatives as credit card is my main form of payment.

I absolutely loved this place! The food was incredibly tasty, and I really enjoyed that they cook everything for you—it made the experience feel special. I’m usually not a fan of green tea, but the green tea ice cream sandwich at the end of the meal completely won me over. It was the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend!
That said, I do believe the servers should explain the menu better for first-timers to make the experience smoother. Additionally, there should be a way to make reservations—it would make planning a visit much more convenient.

The highest quality meats and wonderful bonchon selection. There’s care in the details, the addition of charcoal to the grill for flavor alone, the convos while they cook table side, the outdoor-indoor feel. I’m not a fan of AYCE because it drops quality, and hobak proves that a la carte is better. The pork ribs and bulgogi were the best in town!

What puts this place on the map is the higher quality of the meat and bonchon, the attentive service staff, and the cool interior. The a la carte portions were solid for two of us, but the combos for larger parties looked very appealing. We’ll have to come back with friends!
Typical Korean bbq.
Service was great. Atmosphere was great.
Galbi was great. Do not recommend the ribeye. Great for the show, but prefer other meat options for price.

Been awhile since visited this location. The service and atmosphere is still good but the quality of meat has gone to crap. The brisket smelled so much the pork was so spongy, I had to chew and chew and chew. Please lower expectations.

Question: What do you do when you grow up in the upper Midwest where there is no opportunity to try Korean BBQ?
Answer: Move
Note to self: I wish global warming would hurry up so I can move back to North Dakota and open a Korean BBQ joint.
Hobak is about as good as any Korean BBQ you're going to find in the US, no doubt the quality comes straight from Korea in Hobak's debut into the United States.
The quality of the food is beyond good, which is something you can see from the very moment it arrives on your table. When you order the ribeye, they send you a whole steak - who else does that? Awesome I tell you.
I have been introduced to several Los Angeles Korean BBQ places in the past year, all the way from K-Town to the O.C. and not a single one of them can come close to comparison on the quality of Hobak.
