Bartender was cool but the video poker took my money and my girlfriends money faster than any strip resort I've ever played at. Was surprised after everything I've heard about El Cortez.

This is a nice little hot dog stand inside the El Cortez. Really good hot dogs. Wait for it.... Mango Carte beer on tap. Mango Carte is the best new beer I have tasted in years! They tap it at all the bars in El Cortez. I am a guy that really dislikes flavored beers (I mean, pumpkin spice in beer is just unnatural). I recommend the friendly staff on the casino level of El Cortez... and the Mango Carte.

Waited in line to get a a drink with my wife. A couple walked up skipping the line. When i got to the bar top, bartender took thier order first, i mentioned that we had been in line befor them. The people who skipped the line were drunk and argumentative. Bartender told us to figure out who was first . I wasnt about cause a scene so over drink. Bartender took care of his people first. Took my money elsewhere. El Cortez you lost a well paying customer for life.
