Stay away from anything raw, the fish was not fresh. Ramen, Pork Bao and Tempura Mushrooms were okay. Service was mediocre.

The price of the food is comparable to the quality, which was excellent. They are slightly expensive, but it is worth it. The atmosphere is quiet and cozy. The service is where they shine the most. Google said that they close at 2am. We got there at 11:30 and found out they shut down at midnight. They still served us with a smile and enthusiasm.

Dropped by for dinner a Sunday, typical opening hours and all, but the restaurant was closed. Shame, looked good.
I often stay in this area and discovered Izakaya Tora within the past year. It’s tucked into a great plaza with other solid spots like Cleaver, Musashi, and Middle Child, but Tora has quickly become one of my go-to places for good yakitori and sushi.
On my most recent visit, I sat at the bar and had an excellent experience with Chef SJ, who was welcoming, attentive, and clearly takes pride in what he’s putting out.
Standouts from the meal included the grilled duck skewer, pork belly, negi shio thigh, shogayaki ribs, lamb chop lollipops, and momo thigh. Everything was well-seasoned, perfectly grilled, and packed with flavor. From the skewers, the amaebi, tsukune, and sirloin cap were all on point.
I also had the salmon sashimi and chutoro sashimi, both very fresh and beautifully cut.
Great food, great energy at the bar, and consistently solid execution. If you’re in the area and looking for quality yakitori and Japanese fare, Izakaya Tora is definitely worth a visit.

Great yakisoba. Great sushi. Always a good test is to see how well they make unagi. It was busy but was well managed and they followed up with me throughout the night.

We came here around 5:15 pm before an 8:00 pm show for a light meal. We weren’t very hungry. They told us sukiyaki wasn’t available because they were out of kelp, which was a bit unexpected for a Japanese restaurant.
The food was not bad, and when we got the bill, there was an automatic 20% “Large Party” charge, even though we were only five people (two adults and three kids). If you don’t check the bill carefully, you might tip twice. Since the 20% was already added, I didn’t leave extra tip. I’m not sure if five people is considered a large party in Las Vegas.

Definitely our favorite sushi restaurant in Las Vegas. We’ve eaten there three times and the food is always good. Most recently the service was really exceptional too.

I think mostly all of our food sat for a while before being brought out to us so... The fried chicken was rubbery, the skewers were kinda of warm and one was full of silver skin to top it off. The sashimi was the only thing that was good.
Left hungry and disappointed.

Izakaya Tora in Las Vegas is the kind of sushi spot that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how fresh the fish is. Every dish feels thoughtfully crafted — the creativity is on point without ever feeling forced. You can tell the chef takes pride in every piece that leaves the counter.
The service matches the food — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It’s the type of place where you instantly feel like a regular, even if it’s your first visit.
Whether you’re hosting close friends, business associates, or someone you truly want to impress, Izakaya Tora hits the mark. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience — authentic, intimate, and unforgettable.
