They don't do carryout
Kumi Japanese Restaurant is one of the top Japanese restaurants i've ever eaten at. The ambiance was impressive, the food was immaculate. The staff was very busy but still managed to serve us well. Its expensive, but we'll worth it! We will return on our next trip!

We came here to celebrate our third anniversary and decided to give it a chance despite the mixed reviews. The food was very tasty, the Kumi rock roll was my favorite. The main issue was with the service and to an extent the atmosphere. Despite adding a note/comment to my reservation the occasion was an anniversary celebration, neither the hostess or our server asked if we were celebrating anything special. I waited till we were almost done with our food until I finally decided to ask the server if they offered any hospitality gestures for special occasions. She passively said “we just write a special message on your dessert”. We ordered our dessert and to our surprise it came with no “special message”. And it was not complimentary as many other restaurants do, we paid for it. My point is this, if you are casually hanging out with friends and want sushi, eat here. If you are celebrating a special occasion of any kind, do yourself a favor and do not dine here. They do not make you feel special in any way and is furthest thing from an “experience” that most of us desire to make good memories.

Excellent sushi in a very nice setting, good service, quiet enough to have good conversation. Somewhat limited menu.
The waitress was phenomenal and so was the food

This visit was very disappointing. Since July is supposedly their slow season, they only offer this little stripped-down menu, which was kind of pitiful. We should have left, but we stayed and regretted it. Some food was excellent as we expected it to be, and some was disappointing. It was also disappointing that they dropped the side dishes that used to come with entrees and now everything was a la carte. This visit was an expensive bomb of a dining experience. I expect much more from this restaurant. The used to be one of my favorites, but not anymore.
Greatest restaurant in Las Vegas! Consistently great with exceptional food and amazing service
We left after the appetizer.
It was supposed to be a nicer dinner but the rock shrimp everyone seems to love is just popcorn shrimp with Sriracha mayo on it. It was so underwhelming there was no point paying for more.

We come to a trade show annually and always make KUMI a dinner destination. Sushi is excellent and the steak is also amazing! Wonderful service and never dissapoints. I would like to see them have more GF options though... that was the only hard part. Definitely worth a stop if you like sushi!
We are kind of disappointed in the quality of certain items anyway and you don't have sushi even

This is supposed to be a sushi restaurant but they fell way short.
They had no sashimi or nigiri.
The menu was limited and sub-par.
Extremely disappointed. Better off elsewhere for a Japanese fix.

love the ambience in this restaurant! The dining are surrounded by photos of cheeey blossoms is beautiful. We came on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was pretty slow. We started with drinks, I had the raspberry lycee which tasted like fresh raspberry but was pretty sweet. My husband had the old fashioned but said it was ok and definitely wasn’t worth the $28 price tag.
We started with the steak tartare and it was delicious. The Japanese milk bread to serve it on was sofy toasted and fluffy inside. The gochujang sauce made the tarte extra flavorful. We then shared the Surf n Turf roll and Philly roll. Both were yummy. The surf n turf roll had takuan inside which was very crunchy.
Overall, a good visit with good food, not sure if worth another visit.

We have been to this restaurant many times, the only disappointment was the limited menu, which is new.
One member from our table stated they were allergic to GLUTEN and SOY .The waiter suggested the citrus green salad., however when the salad arrived you could smell the soy ,one of the other members from our table tasted the salad and immediately tastes soy. If you have any gluten or soy allergies beware.....The wait staff also said the mashed potatoes had gluten and soy as well ??? Your wait and kitchen staff should be better trained ,I'm a local who dines out often.
The sushi bar was closed as well as the menu was very limited, so this is reason for my score. The steak tartare was substandard. The sushi rolls were only average, nothing special for the price.
