So disappointed in this location. A few weeks back I placed an online order for 1 Musubi. It took 25 minutes. For 1 spam musubi. I went into the restaurant early because I didn’t think it would take that long and the guy behind the counter was so rude. He was mad that I was early and made sure I knew that I was bothering him.
I left upset and went to my car to cancel the order. The website told me to call the restaurant, I did. Same rude guy answered the phone, after telling him to cancel my order he says “you’re sitting in your car outside and you want to cancel your order? Why?” I told him it didn’t matter where I was and to cancel the order. He argued with me then hung up abruptly.
Since I was in my car I got out and went back in and he says “I have customers and you want to cancel so I hang up. I don’t have time for you”

I waited until he was done with customers and watched the whole time as he complained about me to the cook. He tried to tell me he can’t cancel the order so I asked the musubi. When he gave it to me I asked for his name, and he days “why? I don’t have to tell you my name? Why do you need my name? You don’t need it! I don’t have to tell you anything”

It’s sad that a restaurant that is a representation of Hawaii has employees that lack the Aloha Spirit.

Also this place is so run down. Only 1 door works and it has a smell when you walk in. Like mildew and sewer. They haven’t worked on this building since they opened.

This location lost a customer for life.

NEEDS TO LEARN THE WORD EXCUSE ME TO PEOPLE BEFORE WAITING ON OTHER CUSTOMER!!!! WHEN OTHER PEOPLE ARE IN LINE!!!! THE MAN AT COUNTER ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON IS VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL TO CUSTOMERS!!!!

I will definitely be coming back Larisa the cashier is amazing Uber Eats messed up big time with my order and she went out of her way to make it right ! She has outstanding customer service

The food is great, no problems in that department, the service is friendly and prompt.

The atmosphere is nice but can use a little bit of TLC. Ceiling Panels that are damaged or stained. Bathrooms have no baby change stations, the tagging is fine, because it gives the place personality but a good deep cleansing would do this place well. Food is great.

Horrible customer service ordered Postmates and waited an hour long to be told my food was given to another Uber driver and stolen. The store doesn’t close for another hour and refused to remake my order after spending $50 on dinner . I called and spoke with Tiffany she was very rude and
did not apologize once , kept saying my food was stolen when THEY THE ONES THAT GAVE THE WRONG ORDER OUT WITHOUT CHECKING AND DOUBLE VERIFYING ORDER. I requested to speak with a manger will call back tomorrow. This is unacceptable and not how you treat your customers.

Delicious food and incredible portions! Ordered for carry-out and it was ready as soon as I walked in the doors! I even got there earlier than when the app said it would be ready! Just awesome

Such a pleasant dining experience.

We came here cause my uncle visiting from Hawaii was craving local saimin… he said tasted the same kine like Hawaii— which is a compliment haha. The BBQ mix plates.. tasted the same too like Hawaii haha. The chicken and Terri beef was on the dry side but still satisfied our taste buds. The kalbi was Ono and I loved the Mac salad.

What I don’t care for is the customer service which wasn’t bad.. but it’s not so much aloha spirit. I can understand if they were having a bad day or just tired.. but I would have appreciated a smile. But after been living here for 3 months.. I noticed a lot of locals adapt to the LV spirit of being lukewarm or not very welcoming. Though of course we will return cause we will always crave local food!

By the way.. I loved the cute diner look and the comfy booth chairs!
