BRAH! Fellow co-worker at UNLV recommended and it was straight FIRE the kalbi short ribs were legit!!! Pricey, but I get it...with inflation and all the bs going on...I don't mind paying as long as its good, service was great and supporting local.

I'll do it all day, keep it up, keep it consistent and now you're my end of week lunches

First time here and I really expected better. There are a lot more tastier options out there with better prices. We had fried chicken, garlic chicken, Mac salad, katsu/cutlet. Big let down.

The place is amazing and very clean. The food are prepared and cooked very well . The owner Lefty was very helpful and knowledgeable. Cannot wait to comeback.

Good service. Atmosphere is simple and nice. Food was fine. Large portion but expensive for quality. Extra mac salad is way overpriced for very basic sweet mayo noodles. Short rib pieces were mostly fat. Teriyaki beef tastes gamey. Katsu is standard. My fave was the fried chicken and chicken teriyaki. After reading reviews, seems the best way to go is try the garlic chicken. Unlikely we will come back to try again.

My sister saw this place on Instagram and wanted to try. It’s near UNLV in a strip mall

I ordered the combo plate with Kalbi Ribs and Garlic chicken, it comes with two scoops of rice and Mac salad.

The ribs had a good flavor but were tough, the chicken was ok it wasn’t crispy and very oily, rice was overcooked and mushy.

Total order was approx $24 this did not include my tip

Customer service was good

**Beware if your review is three stars and under you will get a nasty reply from “Chef Lefty B” from the business.

Every business has off days today was theirday in my opinion.

**As you can see the “Chef” responded to my review again unable to take constructive criticism! I corrected my review to state my sister. It doesn’t matter if it was my friend or sister I went to the establishment it wasn’t five stars accept it and move on so called “Chef”

I am utterly disappointed we ordered off DoorDash, our rice is mush I am so upset this cost us $56 plus tip for 2 meals, unfortunately my short rib was also tough, and the chicken was just ok. I will NEVER eat here again!

I was referred to this place by my Lyft driver and he was spot on! I was inquiring about a Local Hawaiian food place especially one that served a tasty mochiko chicken place! Well this is the place! I ordered a fried chicken and meat Jun combo and it came with 2 scoops of rice and cabbage. Very yummy! Maka and Juhl were very friendly and offered great customer service! There was a decent size dining area with many tables and chairs to accommodate their guests. Before leaving Vegas, I made sure to visit one more time and met Jeanette who is one of the owners. She is super nice and friendly as well. Give this place a try! They'd love to meet you! And the portions are generous!

Lefty-J’s Island Favorites is a fantastic spot for Hawaiian and Filipino comfort food. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the service is warm and friendly. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of the islands!

Had an excellent first meal at Lefty J’s! On their recommendation I ordered the Coach Bojay combo which is a garlic chicken and kalbi rib dinner plate with rice and macaroni salad. It was all so tasty and I loved having my choice of sauces to add to it as well. I can’t recommend this highly enough, it’s the best Hawaiian food I’ve had in Vegas!
