I love the fact that I was welcomed as soon as I walked in.. they made small conversations, which seems to be rare nowadays.. they asked if I just finished work and also gave me a sample of the new BBQ Chicken they will be featuring Thursday-Sunday ? ??

Serious talk. Dis kine poke isn’t good poke for Las Vegas. Dis like ono poke for da Malama Market Deli in Haleiwa! Dis ono poke for Nico’s on da Pier.

Everyone has been telling us to come check out this place.The first time we went here on Jan 16, 2024, you are greeted with aloha when you first walk in. The place is very clean. We got Kim chi Tako, imitation crab, and kamaboko. I wasn't too happy with the Kim chi tako cause it didn't have much flavor and it didn't look like there was any kimchi, it wasn't as red. The imitation and kamaboko was so good.My son wanted to try out the boba. We got the mango lihi mui and honeydew blended. But it didn't have much taste to it. It was more water down.Today 5/1, I decided to go back and this time brought my husband for his first time. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with aloha at the door with all staff member. Place is still very clean. And everyone here is very friendly, especially me asking to try this and that. They were patient with me. My friend kept telling me if you see taro kulolo you have to try. Well, yesterday, I went to Poke Express up the street that took over cinnaholic on Flamingo and Grand Canyon. They didn't greet us here. They weren't as friendly with me asking to try this and that. They seemed irritated cause its 640pm and they were closing at 7pm. But still if you close at 7pm you should still be happy serving a customer not irritated. I got spicy garlic tako, imitation crab, and spicy scallop. I wasn't happy as the tako was thick cube cut instead of it being thin slices as well as the imitation crab. I had to slice them up. I feel that poke express is just a franchise of many that treats you like another customer unlike Locals where they treat you like how it is back home.Here at locals, I saw they had that taro kulolo and OMG it's bomb!!! First time trying this! I explained to the person helping me what happened last time we were here. Then we met Justin, he explained how they have updated alot of the flavor in their menu. I tasted the Kim chi tako and OMG it was on point. The thick slices not cube cut, so your not having to chew forever. The flavor was so good. You can see the sauce and it was all red. They made us new boba drinks from last time and that too, they changed how they make it. This time wasn't watered down and you can taste the flavor of the honeydew and mango.It was such a pleasure meeting Justin and much Mahaloz to listening to our concerns and making it right. I see why everyone highly recommends this place. The food and service is exceptional. We highly recommend you try Locals ?, where they treat you like family!!
