I've been going to Macayos since I was 2, staff is very nice, food is good. Always a good time. ??. Alas, Macayos is closing, what an amazing time I've had at this place, it's been a staple for those like myself. While the good times will end, the memories will live on in those like myself. I'm happy that I was able to enjoy taking my boys there and have them enjoy it as well. Here's to the last 40 years of good food, great service, and great times.??? Thank You Very Much. ?✌?

Went there today. Sign on the door says closed today and tomorrow. Thank god they are closing down. So mismanaged. Whenever they reopen under a new name it will probably be the same bad managers

So sad to see this place shut down. I have been coming here with my grandparents since I was a kid! This is definitely one of the best authentic Mexican food restaurants around Vegas. No matter what you get, from burritos, tacos, chile rellenos -you name it- its always fresh and yummy! They say that the same management will open another restaurant with the same menu but different name. Thank goodness. :) P.S. Always a shout out to our phenomenal server, Hugo!

3 hour wait at the Sahara store last night. WHAT KIND OF A BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL CLOSES A BUSINESS WITH THIS KIND OF DEMAND??? There is more to this story. Thans for the screw job after Las Vegas supported you for the last 60 years. Total b********

Very good Mexican style "Applebee's " type restaurant. The happy hour is almost too inexpensive if that's possible... cold beer and fantastic chips just keep coming. Unfortunately this is the closing act for the restaurant but the staff works like they are pushing for a promotion. Good luck to the staff and ownership I hope you land on your feet.

Came here because I saw on the news that they were closing after 60 years. So it was a must I check it out. The atmosphere was cool you can tell it's been running for a while. I got the old school diner vibe. The drinks were great. The bartender (who looks like she been there when they first opened) was awesome. I asked what was her favorite and she made me a sunset margarita. I'm telling Uluru all to go check this place out before they close. You have until March 10th. This is a VEGAS historical land mark that will be closing down soon!

While I understand they're closing in a couple of weeks (and reopening another restaurant in the near future) poor service and cold food is still no excuse. My two sons and I had dinner here last night when we learned that the business was sold and they were closing the doors in a couple of weeks. It was extremely busy, but since we've eaten here many times before we decided it was worth the wait. Unfortunately, that did not turn out to be the case. The majority of the staff operates with the mentality of "short timers attitude", the normal hot chips brought to your table was not a priority, nor was taking out order. When we did place our order, it came out not as we had ordered, and it was cold, and our drinks were also incorrect and when the correct ones were brought back, it was time for the $30 bill for one cold bean and cheese burrito enchilada style, and one cold cheese enchilada both ala carte. Based off last night's experience, I can't say I'll be missing Macayos, and hope that their new establishment operates better than what they provided last night. Giving the excuse "we were so busy and didn't expect it" is lame. It's not like they haven't been busy before.

Had a very good dinner, service was excellent and the food was prepared to my liking. Love taking my Senor Bob and Cha Cha refillable margarita glasses. Buy the glasses and take them back for a discounted Margarita is the best deal. Excellent service by Brandon.

I thought I liked this place but after our trip to Macayo's on Valentines Day I realized I'm not impressed at all. $9 appetizer guacamole had no flavor at all. I'd bet $50 it's store bought, nonauthentic. I got the shrimp fajitas and the tortillas were definitely not fresh. You can get fresher tortillas from Cafe Rio!! Not to mention the "vegetables" that come with the shrimp fajitas were limp, greasy, and a weird flavor overall. Just didn't seem fresh to me, AT ALL. Was basically forcing myself to eat it just to get it over with My boyfriend got the salmon dish; salmon was a little dry but flavor was decent. The only reason why they get two stars is for the Chocolate Chimichangas. Only reason why I might be back. Go elsewhere for "authentic" Mexican food.

A few days ago, me and my family found another Macayo's location, which is more conveniently located near my house. But it really wasn't much different from the Charleston location, just placed in a better area and decoration is a little more up to date. I've been to Macayo's several times but this experience was a little more disappointing. My family usually orders enchiladas but this time my father decided to order fajitas this time. Ordered green enchiladas and when they arrived, I was served only one. When I asked why, the waitress told me it was from their diet menu. Not once was I asked if I wanted from the regular menu or diet one. I didn't even know they had diet options! Came with a salad instead of rice and the beans were black. Enchilada was pretty good, just wish the waitress didn't serve me the diet menu. Fajitas weren't bad, just bland and pretty pricey for the portions they serve you. Very little chicken. Came with 3 tortillas packed in aluminum foil. When the waitress asked if we wanted more, we were charged 3 dollars each for two packs. I could probably buy a whole pound of tortillas for cheaper. Overall, this experience was definitely not the best. I probably only got stuffed because of the complimentary chips and salsa.

Your chips and salsa really good and the service was awesome I've been there twice in about two weeks I really like their fish tacos are grilled!! not fried like most places the beans are super yummy overalls very Americanized Mexican restaurant so don't go there think you're getting athletic!!! But overall it's a good restaurant lot my friends and family like to go there and enjoy most of the food on the menu I think it's very yummy it's a good restaurant to go to!!!
