We enjoy Hawaiian style food, and decided to give Makai a try for a to go lunch. When we walked in first thing we noticed was the restraunt area is clean and cozy. When we approached the ordering station the staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered a big plate and chose teriyaki steak, khalua pig, sweet corn, mac salad, rice, and a side of the garlic edaname. Everything was great. The garlic edaname was served cold which I had never tried it that way before, but still delicious....
First time here and it was DELICIOUS. We came as a family of four. We all had teriyaki chicken bowls which were excellent. My son had the edamame on the side (I've never seen him put a vegetable down first till today), I had macaroni salad (loved), my husband had the kimchi slaw (he guarded it with his life).
