Not sure what these other idiots ate but this place blows. Food is bland. Weird taste on chicken breast kinda tasted like hairspray smells. Not sure why we put saltine crackers on the mac n cheese but ok i guess. Im sorry but dont waste your time.

In the West is difficult to find something related to Soul Food. Now not everyone can cook chicken some chefs might call it bland or lazy but the best of the best always find a way to make chicken the a delicacy.
Mama Bird is one of them. Yes, even though it doesn’t reach the epitome of Soul Food at least you know you can taste the Southern Hospitality. By far the prices might seem over priced but worth it if you’re a hungry foodie. Would anyone pay 20 for a burger.. I think Yes. Specially this one. So make sure your budget is friendly and enjoy one of the most satisfying Iced Teas my palette has tasted in this Western Hemisphere of America.

The hostess are friendly and the staff always with a warm smile and ready to take your dining experience as a good southern style will offer.
Now if you wonder why the atmosphere is low is just.. to crowded in the rush hour. Mind you nothing wrong with that but I don’t like to see small walk ways or chairs close enough to disrupt your server on their way to other tables. HOWEVER. Mama Bird smells like the south.

The restaurant itself is adorable. Staff super friendly and helpful, and I think the food is good (we only had chicken wings). The reason for 3 stars is the drinks are obnoxiously expensive for a strip mall local restaurant. They all average $19 per cocktail, and definitely aren’t oversized. Food is on the pricey side too. 10 chicken wings cost $23.50, though we did enjoy them. I probably won’t return. If I wanted to pay those prices I’d head to the strip or casino venues to dine.

$37 for 10pcs of chicken and collard greens is ridiculous. Not to mention that the “fried” chicken is smoked! . Like when someone ask for fried chicken just fry the dam chicken. Otherwise it’s just smoked chicken that’s breaded which in fact has a Disgusting taste.

To all my people from down south like me, if you come here please set your expectations very low. But honestly I don’t know why I expected anything more from a “southern kitchen” restaurant in Las Vegas. 🙄

All my beeping smoke detector people, don’t come here fr lol

Hands down the BEST fried chicken in the entire west. Everything here is made from hand scratch and genuinely from the heart and soul. From the watermelon lemonade to the fried chicken and waffles, or even the fried wings and waffles!!! Can’t find anything remotely close to the quality of food served here as even the potatoes and eggs are 100% REAL, FRESH, STRAIGHT FROM THE FARM. Never thought I’d find a TRUE homegrown southern restaurant yet alone in Las Vegas lol… I make it a priority to stop here anytime I’m in the area and would recommend this place over the top restaurants in Vegas. A real hidden Gem with impeccable service with a menu to dream about for the next time you visit! 10/10 if they made such a category, please don’t hesitate with this one!

One of the best southern style breakfasts OFF the strip. If you want amazing food, generous portions, decent prices, and good ol’ southern hospitality, venture about 8 miles from the historic Las Vegas Welcome Sign. You will not be disappointed.

This place is so good, we went twice during our trip. I ordered the chicken tenders and they were huge! They had great flavor and very crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The mac and cheese was sooo good. The crackers threw me off, but I actually really liked the combo. My husband had the chicken sandwich and he loved it. He got it mad mama hot? Way and it was great flavor. The bun was also excellent. I wish yall were closer because I would be here weekly!

Total waste of money. The side is literally a table spoon of collard greens and there was 2 pieces of meat for $26. Biggest regret I’ve had since I’ve moved to southern highlands

Mama Bird SK is one of a kind southern hospitality experience. From their decor, to their staff, and to to their food. The chefs and owners take pride in their craft as well as the servers who are always ready with a detailed response on any of their dishes. Their sauces are scratch made and their fried chicken never disappoints, juicy and full of flavor. And if you like a little heat you can get any of their chicken M.M.AD Hot (which stands for Mommy’s Mad At Daddy Hot, how cute!) Mama Bird attracts locals again and again and tourists all the way from the strip. A must stop for Southern food when in Vegas! They smoke their winds, brisket, and ribs as well! They also offer a vegan smoked jackfruit sandwich and salad that I would eat any day and I’m not a vegan!
