I unfortunately knew that this was going to be the outcome. I did lots of research and was referred to Mary’s cakes after Winston Marie was booked. Mary’s cakes was the worst customer service experience. Cake was good and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, but believe the reviews that share the lack of communication experience. I repeatedly reached out to confirm a slight change in font coloring only for ONE number… several months before my wedding date and texted to confirm the request was accepted the week of the wedding. I was sent a receipt and texted acknowledging that the information was received and still the cake was done incorrectly. Do not reach out via email they do not respond. Text them if you choose to book them. They also do not notify you until the day of your event when they plan to deliver. I was notified about 10 minutes before my event. Please do not blame this on being a “small business”. You are a business and if you cannot keep up with the clientele then do not accept so many orders. It may not be a big deal but we paid in FULL ahead of time just for you to make a careless mistake that seemed purposeful for my reaching out multiple times when you would not respond to a simple confirmation question. Our cake looked dumb… no thank you for your response or attempt to justify your “mistake”.

I recently ordered from Mary’s cakes for my daughter’s 10th birthday and paid $235 for an 8in cake. I got a call the morning of that the cake was dropped and she had no backups…. I even asked if she could make another, even if I had to pick up later in the afternoon. I was given no other option but to get a smaller 6in cake I believe and some cupcakes. Presentation wise I was happy with the results but when I picked up she mentioned the top was made from Rice Krispies? Idk if that was the original plan but the Rice Krispies were hard as a rock, the cake was more fondant than actual cake. Thankfully I picked up 2 cakes in case this happened but this is really upsetting because I only received $80 back for something like that.

I ordered a cake from Mary’s Cakes for my husband & I first wedding Anniversary. They were able to accommodate a Friday pick up, well, my husband happened to go into the ER & having emergency surgery & our daughter was in the dr office for being sick as well, so needless to say I was not even thinking of the cake and I completely spaced reading the message from them that stated I needed to pick up the cake by 12 Friday. They called around 12 and stayed later for me to be able to pick it up. They were so accommodating and polite when I’m sure they were probably frustrated not realizing the chaos going on in my world. Their politeness, professionalism & willingness to stay a little bit longer for me to still get this cake was so appreciated! The cake turned out so perfect, tasted amazing and it was a wonderful surprise for when my husband was able to come back home after surgery! I will definitely be ordering from them more and referring them to everyone!

Got a text for confirmation of delivery the day before, and the delivery person was prompt, kind, and communicative throughout the process.
We left no crumbs. Would eat every day. Don't look anywhere else. Thank you, Mary's Cakes!

Got a wedding cake for my Vegas elopement and not only was it SUCH a cute cake (it was heart shaped… perfect for our vintage Vegas wedding aesthetic), but it was also the most delicious cake I’ve ever tasted! We got the tres leches cake flavor with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting and I can’t recommend it enough!! I’ll definitely be coming back for birthday cakes and more!

Ordered a cake last minute, I'm talking about 15 hour count down and it was ready for pick up early the next day. I did a small red velvet with buttercream filling and it was delicious and it fed 8. The communication throughout helped assure me that my order would work out perfectly! I loved it, I was set on fun mini Vegas elopement, it made my special night that much more perfect! Highly recommend and looks like they have unique fun cakes for all occasions

I ordered a beautiful heart shaped cake for my elopement after finding Mary’s on Instagram. THIS WAS THE BEST CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. It was absolutely incredible. So delicious. Just perfect! Not only was the ordering online SO easy, but they also have a texting number if you need any assistance or have questions. I live across the country and am still dreaming about this cake!
