This is a wonderful restaurant. Our table of 6 enjoyed a salmon pear salad, a shrimp pear salad, the swordfish, the scallops, and the lobster ravioli. We paired a Vermentino wine with our seafood, a delightful combination! The ambience, the service, the value - all exceptional. We are locals, and always experience an exceptional time.

We had a great time! The food was absolutely delicious and our server was amazing and knowledgeable. His name is Thomas.

I'm a frequent flyer here but last night's experience may change that. Dinner for six with a reservation on a Tuesday. Anthony, our server was friendly and helpful when he was around, but clearly working so many tables that he was inattentive. By the time I could get some grated Parmesan for my pasta, the dish was cold. And this dish itself - the Frutti di Mare was unimpressive, bland and with a skimpy amount of seafood. We ordered a salad to share which never arrived. Finally, the only contact we had with a manager was when she came over to tell us that time had expired on our table (essentially kicking us out), which would have been fine except she didn't even ask how our experience was. Very bad form. A disappointing meal all the way around, which is a sad thing because this place has always been a favorite.

Every bite was delicious. The pizza crust was perfection. The pasta in cheese wheel was so tasty - and the preparation was an added bonus. Such an enjoyable experience.

Took 2 hours. Waited over an hour just to get salad Then another 40 minutes for pasta. Then another 20 minutes for the check. Never again.

We had a special, Ribeye, whole Maine lobster, grilled asparagus for two, it was delightful! The red wine reduction sauce was delicious. Service was impeccable.

Great restaurant with an open air atmosphere inside the Venetian. Great seafood and service was exceptional. My husband had the snapper and I had the sea bass both were amazing. Definitely recommend!!!

I had the salmon ravioli and the fish was extremely fishy. I asked for my money back. I ordered a half of a lobster for $30, and it was not more than 3 bites. Vegas has gotten completely over priced. I am not paying $10 a bite of lobster. I asked for my money back.

Absolutely outstanding service. Great appetizers, but unfortunately the entree was massively oversalted. Management comped the entree so points for that.

Great location for people watching. Split a Caprese salad and shrimp scampi. Both were oversalted. Heavily. I let the waiter know and they removed the price of the entree, but disappointing. How do you oversalt pesto and pasta in an Italian reataurant???

From host to wait staff, service was good. The food was excellent as well. Nice atmosphere especially by the Grand Canal shoppes.

The mussels were tender and good, but the sauce didn't have much flavor. Was kind of worried about the rest of the meal based on the mussels. Everything else exceeded expectations. Lasagna was awesome. Lobster was some of the best! Definitely order a side of shrimp, amazing! We sat inside which kept the noise level down and we were able to have a great conversation. The inside courtyard seemed loud. 

We had a wonderful dinner. Everything tasted amazing. Great attentive staff. Wonderful ambiance too.

Brian was our waiter. So attentive and pleasant to talk to. Food was so good. I had the cacio e Pepe and my husband had the chicken parm. Both delicious. The Caesar was also really good. Had some drinks at the bar first and Josh made our initial experience at the restaurant very positive. Drinks were delicious as well. Highly recommend.

Thomas was an excellent waiter -- super prompt, excellent service, and great with recommendations. We hosted a business dinner for 11 people while in town for a major conference. We almost booked a steakhouse because we wanted this to be an outstanding experience -- something above average. WOW! Everyone enjoyed it sooo much. Everything we tasted was exquisite. BE SURE to try the octopus... I would have never imagined it tasted THAT GOOD. Our overall experience was so good that the next day at the conference, our guests came to find us on the tradeshow floor and enthusiastically recounted just how much they enjoyed going to Mercatos. It definitely made an impact on them, and that reflected very well on us for business purposes. Needless to say, we don't regret choosing Mercatos over a steakhouse. We will be back!
