Ohana Hawaiian BBQ

I grew up on L&L and this is like McDonald's vs Burger King, but instead of burgers we're comparing Hawaiian BBQ and more importantly musubi. I'm happy to report that Ohana is just as good as what I was expecting, and may I say their prices are also a bit down to earth compared to L&L. Since finding Ohana I've basically stopped going to L&L to satisfy my Spam musubi, macaroni salad, and BBQ chicken + rice cravings.

The ribs were tough and nervy. The spam sushi was interesting and it’s the first time I had that. But overall not a bad fast casual place.

I almost always order the Mongolian beef and crispy gau gee. Can't go wrong with most things on the menu

This place has given me hope with their Mongolian Beef. Been awhile since I've had one so good!

I've tried it twice, a long with the chicken katsu (for the wife) and the BBQ short ribs and everything has absolutely slapped. Big portions too, literally two meals worth!

Food was not too greasy like other places or too much oil in it.

Mistakes happen and we all make them! What we're supposed to teach children is to apologize when it's warranted, be kind and take accountability for your actions. Clearly the 'child' at the counter didn't learn any of these basics.

If you've ever ordered katsu chicken from any Hawaiian bbq spot... it's not the same without the sauce. With this in mind, the only thing I asked when picking up my phone order was "are the sauces in the bag?" -I would typically check the bag for accuracy (who wants to get back home and something is missing or incorrect). BUUT her very confident reply of "YEAH, ITS ALL IN THERE" sounded convincing and felt that I can trust her.

Went home with the fairly large order and to my surprise.... NO SAUCES!! After a short conversation on the phone in attempt to get some type of refund (due to the frustration). I ended up just driving back to grab the missing sauces.

Here's where the childish behavior of immature people comes in. Instead of receiving an apology, I was greeted with attitude.... Absolutely no apology from this 'child'. She takes no accountability for her actions. I would NOT be writing this review if she was KIND and gave some type of apology. BECAUSE mistakes happen but we ALL want to be treated with UNDERSTANDING.

We order it probably 5-6 times a month
It’s so adorable and everything is always made to perfection

Orange Chicken
Chicken Katsu
Saimin the broth is so amaze zen!
Anything BBQ 💛
Spring rolls
Garlic Noodles
Literally you can not go wrong here with anything on the menu it will be so good!
Our only wish is that they would change their to-go containers to something better for humans and the environment
Unfortunately won’t be ordering to-go anymore because the containers are styrofoam 😞

Styrofoam can leach into food and drinks and cause health problems:

I Order the Combo Plate and a Chicken Noodle very disappointed! The Rice is very Hard and Dry and Cold. They probably give me old rice !! Because that is NO Way that is Fresh Rice! The Beef is Disgusting..and Nasty. The Noodle is Ok...No taste..No flavor.I always Order from my Favorite place in Spring Valley, I just moove in this Area. And it's pretty Expensive compared other places in Vegas. I'm like let me take a Try, but first time and Last time! It's not About the money, but NOT worth the Hype! Also I try to call the Restaurant many time, they keep Hang up the Phone on me everytime!! When I get a chance I will walk in and complain about this! But it's a NO for me!! Better Hawaii Food place in Vebas. 1 🌟 for everything!

We spend almost $100 for food that was not worth it , We walked in to order ar 9:12 , waited for our food , food came in a bag at 930pm when i told them we asked to eat here the cashier went and came back and said we close in 30 mins , OKAY WE were in here already , Kids were not happy with how either too salty food and other food was Def not worth it. Cashier lady training the new girl had to come and said we actually close in 25 mins , I looked at her and told her we'll be done by then , We are at Aria and made a choice to drive all the way here for dinner and of all the places we've try in Vegas this was by far the worst, so save your money and go to zippy

Adobo and service were both fire! I loved the galbi combo though the galbi was cut a bit thin. I like their water station, many seats, and the sauces they put on the side for us. Katsu’s soo crispy. They were out of flan but the spam matsubi was a great deal. 9.8/10 for the good prices.

Closes at 10pm but stops answering the phone for to go orders at 9:30pm and doesn’t take walk ins at 9:45pm. Staff was already counting down the register. If you want to leave by 10pm maybe the store hours should end at 9:30pm.

I would like to give a fair review and share the experience you'll get when you go here.

I live near by and we seem to have a tight little area of Hawaiian places and why you should probably DRIVE BY THIS ONE.

First, parking is terrible. Usually can't get a decent spot because of the location with shared businesses.

Second, as you walk up to the door they have outside seating where all the wonderful thoughtful cigarette smokers feel it's a respectful concept to greet people with that in their face before opening the door.

Third, place has ZERO Hawaiian atmosphere or call backs to any of the culture. ?

Now, the menu has the typical BBQ options which should not disappoint you to bad but the girls there need to be trained more on selling the menu and offering things to its customers.

Now, I don't know how well this business does but it's usually not full of people and there's tons of room for improvement. Some decor additions, hire a local group to sing or play music etc...

When you got Zippys, Island flavor,unko francos and L&L within driving distance I would probably be going there from now on.
