The rack of lamb was excellent as was the sole. They had potato leek soup as a special, which was excellent and also we enjoyed the endive salad.

This restaurant is absolutely fabulous including the fine dinner, our wonderful server, and the lovely attentive owners. Ohlala French Bistro has it all including a price that was extremely reasonable.

Everything was perfect from the first course until the dessert. My husband got the hamburger and he said it was amazing. I had the duck and it was also wonderful. They had a vegetable soup special. We had that along with the warm brie with garlic for dessert we had the Gelato .

Ohlala is one of my favorite little dining establishments. I am addicted to the hachis parmentiere and the sole meunière. Not a large menu, but some excellent choices.

Great service, filet mignon cooked perfectly. I'll be back

So I changed my review. It used to be really good. Now it's just ok. I won't be back. I've been a few times over the years and it's gotten increasingly worse. Def not worth the price point. I've had plenty of french food.

We were from out of town and wanted a romantic place to celebrate our one year anniversary. We chose Oh La La due to their high star reviews. Well it was more like Oh No No No for us.

We started with the homemade bread and found it to be decent. It wasn't anything that said wow to us.

Our 2nd serving was the escargot for each of us. This was served at a mediocre temperature. It was loaded in raw garlic which in my experiences I've had roasted garlic with escargot servings. There was plenty of melted butter and the snails were extra chewy and not tender at all. Very rubbery consistency. Again we have had other escargots at other establishments and the snails were tender and melted in your mouth.

Next I had the French onion soup. I had several spoonfuls and enjoyed the flavor profile of it right up until I had a piece of plastic in my mouth. This experience made me realize they obviously use bagged soup from a food service truck and was very disappointed to discover this. I informed our server and they offered to replace the soup but I declined the offer due to not knowing if there would be more pieces in the soup.

My wife had their filet mignon and ordered it medium. Upon cutting into the filet it was medium rare to rare side. We didn't want to send it back because after my soup ordeal we didn't want to seem like we were one of those folks trying to score a free meal. So she ate some bites and just decided to stay quiet and not rock the boat.

I ordered the Ratatouille as I had no idea what it was and the flavor of it. So upon getting it I noticed it was just cut veggies sauted in a butter type sauce with some herbs and loads of raw garlic.

The entree was ok. It would not be a dish I would get again, at least not from here.

Our final course was a lemon tart that was given to us for our anniversary celebration. This tart was delicious and well presented and had a great citrus zing to it. Next was the creme brulee and was served with a perfect sugar torching and had a great smooth creamy consistency.

Over all we just didn't see the price point for value for what we had for our appetizers and entree's. This is especially true knowing that the soup comes from a bag for the prices of the soup itself.

I strongly feel they can do better and go back to finding some love in their food and less commercial food service from truck to table it would be better.
