My mom and I had a late breakfast at Omelet House 50 Diner at 3050 E. Desert Inn Rd in Las Vegas on April 17, 2024. We were seated right away. It took the waitress about 12 minutes to acknowledge us and take our orders. I ordered the 7 ingredient build your own omelet with chicken being one of the ingredients. My mom order liver and onions with mash potatoes and gravy and a strawberry milkshake. She then changed her order to blueberry stuffed French toast, but told the waitress to give her the liver and onions order to go. When our food came I had the most tasteless, overcooked omelet. The chicken was hard as a rock. My mother got stuffed apple french toast. I told the waitress about my omelet. She offered me another one and I said just don't charge me for the chicken, as I don't like complaining and sending food back. I told her that my mom ordered blueberry french toast and they gave her apple. She apologized and offered to make the blueberry french toast, which we again refused. We told her that we hadn't yet received the strawberry shake. When the shake came, it was more vanilla tasting than strawberry. The waitress didn't come back to our table and the busser gave us the $50.35 check. When I went to pay it, our waitress was at the register. There is a $1.00 upcharge to use a card, which there is nothing in writing until you get to the register and look on the counter, which is then too late if you don't have cash. After I got home, I realized that I was charged for the chicken on my omelet and there was no gravy on the liver and onions. I was very disappointed in the food quality and taste. This was the first time eating at this restaurant and it most likely will be the last time. I so wanted to like the food, because I have eaten at 2 other Omelet House locations and the food was very good. Atmosphere was good with diners laughing and talking amongst each other.

One of my favorite local vegas diners! Recently went there for my daughter's 2nd birthday and they were so sweet, they made her pancakes extra special and brought out a scoop of icecream with a candle and sang Happy Birthday. Their food is always delicious and the atmosphere is a fun 50's style.
