Love the place. Reminds me of San Diego and Tijuana!
This place, despite being in modern open mall setting, is actually a long time Vegas establishment. Not a chain, around since just after WWII.
Menu is broad sweeping with several house specialities including a beef birria that is the best I've ever had.
Tile and abundant plants with many cultural knick knacks give it an open garden/ patio feel in many of the seating area.
Wouldn't hesitate to go back several days in a row to try different things.
The food was good and the atmosphere is really cool. It's a bit pricey for Mexican food. :/
Food was delicious and service was great
This is one of the best Mexican eateries in Las vegas area great dishes good quality refried beans good guacamole great margaritas I got a beef and bean wet burrito absolutely delicious!!!
Oh boy, where do I even start? This place needs to be rescued by new management asap. The food, is not great. The atmosphere is pretty. There’s just so much wrong with this place and massive missed potential.
The food is very overpriced and unsatisfying for something that does not come off as authentic at all. I think the cheapest meal is the quesadilla for $22. A single ground beef (yes ground beef) taco was $10. No way worth that much. The quality is very low. No love put into the food. Missing massive flavor. The menu should be redone. Missing a kids menu. Why are they trying to make “mushroom and artichoke” happen so hard? Granted, it was an interesting combo on a quesadilla, but why is it the only option for queso? No you can not order queso without artichoke and jalapeños in it. Also the artichokes are canned not fresh cooked. My son ordered a meatless salad and suffered food poisoning the next 24 hours so clearly not washing the veggies.
The service wasn’t very attentive. Never got checked on.
The atmosphere…this restaurant is missing a lot, but one extremely important element: MUSIC. Why isn’t there any music? Sound of chatter is incredibly amplified due to the openness of the design and the tile, music is absolutely needed to drown out all the loudness of the patrons. I can not stress how loud with chatter it is in there. A nice place like this should at the very least have some mood setting music playing. This is the best place to have a mariachi band as well and I’m not sure why they are not pursuing that especially on a Friday night.
Inside the building is really beautiful. It’s well-made and it doesn’t look cheap. It looks like a beautiful authentic Cantina inside with live plants. However, there’s a lot of randomness that simply does not belong in their and actually quite ridiculous and tacky. Why is there a signed Tom Brady jersey on the wall? The only reason we could come up with was “because we have it”. At one point I wasn’t sure if I was in an Applebee’s, but then I was quickly reminded that I was in a Mexican cantina. Still, pick a theme and stick to it, especially for one so heavily into the cantina look.
This is the short version of my review and it’s not meant to tear this restaurant down. I really want to see it thrive as it’s such a beautiful location and could be doing so much better. If you’re going for the beauty of it, don’t expect much from the food. I took guests here from out of town and they were loving the atmosphere but once the food was delivered, they were ready to leave and upset they paid so much.
Very good service, food, and atmosphere, except a bit loud in Cantina when crowded when my family and I ate there tonight.
Portions were big, too. As my photos show myt"Botanas Regulares" Happy Hour platter was enough to take home for TWO meals! The albondigas soup had a lot of meatballs in it and was spiced just right. All our family enjoyed their dinner in the Cantina where Happy Hour made the prices very affordable. our server, Helen, was very nice and serviced our table as often as required of us.
Parking wasn't bad for such a busy shopping Center, (Downtown Summerlin), and it was well lit and felt safe. Just beware during peak mealtime hours this restaurant is very busy, deservedly so, and there can be a wait to be seated. Happy Hour lasts along time and the specials are great. I recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food and service. Salsa was fantastic..
The service and atmosphere are good but the food was hardly edible. The fajitas tasted like black char and the queso dip was really difficult to eat. I almost asked for a pair of scissors to cut it otherwise it would stretch forever. The rice was boring and dry and the beans smelled like feet. The beer I got was good though.

We keep coming back to this place because it truly stands out as one of the best. There’s a great variety of food to choose from, and the staff is always friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome.
The prices are reasonable, which makes it even more appealing. Plus, the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, creating the perfect setting to enjoy a meal.
