Was exactly what I remember from Japan and Hong Kong. My particular piece of beef had more connecting inedible tissue, but otherwise a great meal!
For business travelers-their machine cannot print a post-tip total for what you paid. The staff member graciously added the tip to my printed receipt.

Poor customer service skills.
Restroom was dirty and the door wasn’t open properly.

Pepper Lunch is my go-to place whenever I want a fast, delicious rice meal. The sizzling plate, the sauce, the flavor, everything just comes together perfectly. Super convenient and consistently good!

I visited the Pepper Lunch location at Shanghai Plaza recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience related to disability access and service animal rights.
When I arrived with my service dog in training, Abba, the cashier told me that dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. I explained that under both federal ADA law and Nevada state law, service animals in training are granted the same access rights as fully trained service animals. I even tried to show the employee the official Nevada statute on the state website, but he refused to look at it and said it “didn’t matter” and that he wasnt going to bother looking at it
He then told me that while I could order, I would have to sit in a corner away from other customers in a seldom section of the restaurant near the door, because my service dog might make the other customers “uncomfortable”, This was very hurtful and discriminatory. I explained that this was not only against the law but also an uncomfortable and exclusionary experience for me as a customer. After this interaction, I refused to buy food there and decided to leave once I had the employees information.
I want to be clear that I’m not seeking retaliation against any specific employee or manager, although this experience happened exclusively with Roland Boñelos, regional manager of the California and nevada branches of Pepper Lunch. My goal is for this feedback to encourage better education and training for staff regarding service animal laws and how to appropriately interact with customers who rely on them. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect when visiting a restaurant, my service animal included. I’ve included screenshots of the bylaws for statutes referencing discrimination.

Great place to eat, super quick service and the prices are not too bad either.

If youve ever had Pepper Lunch in Japan, it isn't the same here whatsoever. Pretty much the only thing that is consistent is what the food is served on. My go to in Japan was the beef rice which would be a generous portion of steak with a big serving of garlic butter and generous portion of rice and corn. At this location it was shredded, thin beef that tasted okay and no butter in sight with just enough food to cover the bottom of the plate. It was okay but nothing I would go out of my way for.

Wow Edward is such a great customer agent - absolutely never in all the years I’ve been alive have I witnessed such a kind endeavoring smile. Henessys runs a good shift. She’s a great leader a mollusk in a sea of shrimp. And Brenden - wow- what a brilliant way to use the POS system. The cooks were angels- the boh and foh work in synch together like two perfect seasaws 👌 100/5 restaurant

Ordered a $15+ takeout lunch that was truly inedible. Returned to restaurant, not to ask for my money back but to get something in exchange that I could actually eat. THEY REFUSED. Amazing. One and DONE. Will never eat there again. Too many other places to choose from. Horrible customer service.

If you gave this place 1 star, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this place. The staff was cool, gave us recommendations, I got the chicken karrage meal with the curry, and they gave us sizzling plates, and when I poured my curry on my plate, it was like I was at Shogun! It was sizzling like crazy! Definitely coming back for some more!

Extremely yummy!
I really enjoyed the sizzling plate aspect of the experience.
I got the pepper beef and it was well seasoned and filling.
Definitely would consider going back next time I’m in Vegas.
Been to a few of these in Japan. This one the meal wasn’t as peppery tasting as the Japan places. It was still good but just not as good.
