I’d like to begin by saying I’ve been a customer at Peru chicken for 10 years plus. The quality over the years has heavily declined. The biggest issue is the to go sauces. When I first started going up until a few years you would get them for free, now they charge and it only do the charge for the salsa but they only fill the containers up halfway and the salsa is extremely watery. Like who wants to drink watery salsa?? Not me. I dont live close to this restaurant so it really pains me to be receiving half filled watery salsa after taking a 25 minute drive to the restaurant. However on the bright side the customer service is always a 10/10 from the lady at the front counter and I really appreciate that.

A small locale with a rich connectection to how real Peruvian cuisine is created. Ordered the chicken chaufa rice. Fresh great taste full of quality chicken breast and green onions. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items.

I have tried Peruvian food before. I wanted to eat their chicken thinking it will taste like the one I tried when leaving in NY. It was very dry and had no flavor. I won't go back.

Very small place
Only 5 tables
Better off ordering to go
I waited 35 minutes from ordering it on the phone, arriving until I received it.
Lots of parking
Menu is small, not a lot of the typical Peruvian dishes, no jalea or arroz con pollo.
We ordered:
Pollo saltado it came with rice.
Yuquita con huancaina
Salsa criolla
Plates are decent size
Aji is very good they have two different ones.
We paid $47 for two people no drinks nor dessert.
They do make the food to order hence the wait.
Every table (only 5 tables inside) were all taken, glad I ordered online. Food was okay.

The chicken here is amazing. I order the half chicken with fries all the time. The chicken is fall off the bone goodness and the sauces they provide with it is amazing. I also love their passion fruit juice there. The people that work there are amazing and it could quite possibly be family owned. Try this place out. It’s small but the food is worth trying. They also do takeout which I take advantage of quite often.

Adela , is rude … she rushes to pay .. I kept having to tell her to hold on she kept insisting that I can pay when I told her 1 time already . Okay give me a few seconds … attitude is horrible ! Customer service is horrible … she needs training on how to speak with guests …

We have been coming here for a number of years and I have never posted a review. This is a grievous error! Their food is always fresh and well prepared. I ordered the daily special of Pescado Frito, fried fish (filet, no bones). It was very lightly breaded, seasoned perfectly. And the ample portion was tender, light, and flaky. It was served with lentils, rice, and a hearty chicken vegetable soup along with choice of beverage....all for $14! This is the special of the day every Monday. Other menu highlights are the tallarin saltado, arroz chaufa, tallaron verde, lomo saltado and the onion salad is the best! The beef is ALWAYS tender and flavorful no matter in what form it is ordered. It is in an unassuming location on Tropicana near Spencer. But it is always clean and has good reports from the health department. Try this restaurant today. It will soon become a favorite!!
Recommended dishes: Tacu Tacu Con Polla a La Brasa, Tallarines Verde Con Huancina
Very small not enough chairs to seat down n eat... had to wait outside and wait for customers to be done eating . So we can sit down and eat.. staff didn't communicate any way on the wait period we kind of guessed it on the waiting period..
Quite disappointed. Spent about 100$ in there for take away food. Ordered the saltado de pollo and the tallarin saltado with beef. Got two times pork! This is how you make cash from one-time-customers. By giving them the cheapest meats. Good ceviche, not enough fish, more on the sides. Ordered chicken soup but got a mix of chicken and pork soup. Their ice cream was very good. Attaching the first of my receipts (the others were ice cream and fried bananas+ red coke). On the receipt is claimed I am getting chicken… well, the chicken today was used for their day dish which was grilled chicken with fried rice…
Have tried better Peruvian food in San Francisco.
