I have been exploring the buffet of Ports O' Call inside the Gold Coast Casino for many years now. The sit down has a very spacious seating area with fancy dressed servers swapping out drinks, picking up dirty dishes from the table and checking on guests every now and then. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, this staggering buffet is temporarily closed! BOO!! However, when it decides to open back up again, I hope Covid-19 is refused service, because this buffet is that good!! If your family is indecisive on what to eat, this buffet has catering to every craving and also kid friendly. Every counter of the buffet has nice shiny light up signs reading: American, Chinese, Mongolian, Barbecue, Seafood, and Mexican. They have a decent dessert table with chocolate fountain and one of the best pink lemonades to compliment the meal. This is definitely ideal for big parties, and also some of the cheapest options in dining in for a big party. We certainly had a hard time deciding which was as affordable and this place is it.

Good value for money, some interesting servings in a quiet unhurried atmosphere

So far the 2nd worst hotel casino I have visited. The food is at best average. The service is horrible. The coffee so old the cream jumps out. The server took my water and vanished... I really expected more from Las Vegas casinos..

First time to the gold coast buffet. Prime rib was delicious. The mongolian beef okay. It was overcooked and chewy. The saving Grace was their desserts. The Mango sorbet was good. I later found out they had a Hawaiian Frost machine with Pineapple and Coconut soft serve. Amazing ???

*** This review is from The Before Time, in the long long ago. I'm just catching up on old stuff. Please don't screech at me to GET BACK IN THE BUNKER, I'm already in the bunker. ***I guess we'll see how things go when the 'roney is over, the setup could be radically different. But just pre-Rona, I stopped by for supper and found the service and staff attitude had really improved. Only food disappointment was no BBQ stuff out, I remember there being ribs out for lunch before. Everything was pretty good except for some weak and watery stuffing. Had some surprisingly good fish as I recall.

It was fairly empty when I went. So service was very good. Would have been better if they had a better selection. For example the fried shrimp was in several spots

Very reasonable priced buffet. Decent food variety. Get your players card before coming. Offers a better discount. Definitely recommend.

This buffet, has a good selection of standard buffet items, but much like the rest of Gold Coast Casino, it appears to be in a time warp, and long overdue for an update. An update to decor and menu.

It was just a very average buffet. The fish was only barely warm. The salad consisted of the white and yellow parts of the iceberg lettuce head (barely any green). Lots of food choices and variety. None of the food I had was outstanding. Felt as though it was not worth the price.

Decent buffet with decent choices. I went on prime rib Thursday and it was pretty good prime rib for a buffet.

Worst buffet ever. Used to be really good. Chicken Cacciatore was dry and hard to cut. Teriyaki chicken wasn't much better. The only reason I gave it 1 star was because their desserts are above average. Best banana cream and coconut cream pie I have had in a long time and their salad bar has more options. If I went for just salad and dessert the rating would be higher but the price wouldn't be worth it.

Went here for the casino! I enjoyed myself. Good trip, nice location! The food was good and there was a great variety!

Has gotten better than the last time I went there. I ate there about 3 years ago. It was about the worst in all the Boyd’s Gaming casinos buffet. Still not on par with the Orleans buffet, but it is considerably better. The seafood is good. They offer peel and eat shrimp, fried fish, and baked fish and crawfish boil which seems to be very popular. The Italian cuisine is pretty good. Mexican dishes, and Chinese are pretty good also. My only complaint is a meager salad bar. Desserts are the standards. Pies, cookies, brownies, fruit cobblers and ice cream. Servers can be very accommodating even when there’s a full house.
