Absolutely sucks! No appetizers, no dessert, few options, bland spice level. Then, after it's already overpriced, the stick you with 18% gratuity... for a buffet!

Food is very very expensive and doesn’t taste good. Feels stale. And they have very few options almost none in appetizers. Never ever go . Cost us almost 90 dollars for two people one curry and 3 naan. Dont get in trap of buffet system

Without a doubt the worst, most flavorless Indian food I've ever had. Very small selection of food. Maybe 7 hot items, all of them with zero flavor. Only one item with meat in it(chicken curry). They naan was probably the best part and that was pretty flavorless too. The gentleman working there was very pleasant and the dining room was actually very nice but that's still no reason to go here. $50 for 1 person for the buffet, a soda and the included gratuity they slap on you. I'm guessing the Rio will be closing this place and replacing it with something else because it was just horrible and empty. It should probably already be put out of its misery.

We should have known something was amiss when no one else was in the restaurant at peak dinner time. This place is a buffet with like 6, maybe 7 different hot items. You get bottomloss naan but it takes a while to come out. The food was really OK.... However it wasn't anything that'll knock your socks off. It was almost $90 for two people. We had just a little over a plate of food each and paid almost as much as the awesome show we saw afterwards that was only $100 for two people. Listen to your suspicions when you walk in and you're the only people in there at 6:15p (prime dinner time)... Especially when a huge block of rooms is reserved for attendees of a huge convention in town... When the hotel is at capacity and you're thinking about going to a place that's empty during these times, double think that choice.

This is a nice quiet sit down option when staying at the Rio. Service was very good and we enjoyed the fresh naan. I noticed some other guests very concerned about spice level and asking many questions which is why I think many of the dishes were a little on the bland side especially if you regularly eat Indian. Personally, I would have liked just a bit more spice but I completely understand the reasoning as many don’t/can’t do spice. For the price, it was a filling meal and the best out of everything we tried at the Rio.

Not even worth single star. Only ambience takes the rating
Dining at the Royal Indian Buffet was like attending a party where the food forgot to show up! Waste of money !!
Rice was dried out, must have been cooked couple of days back. Chicken tandoori was frozen inside..

Dining here felt like spinning the wheel at a casino—lots of risks, and I definitely hit the jackpot of disappointment!
The food was so sad it must have been cooked a couple of days ago. I was itching to dash out and write this review. Save your cash and your time—this place is a total awful, do not risk.

Buffet over here is not worth the price. It is convenient if you are staying at Rio hotel & casino but food is below average. Restaurant is clean and has pleasant environment. I would not recommend this place if you love Indian food.Overall it was an average experience.

My experience at Royal Indian buffet was quite disappointing. Firstly, the ambiance was outdated and felt neglected. After seeing the amount of customers and how me and my family had to wait for the person to dine us in, I have to say that the aura was completely off. Now on to the food, the dishes were lackluster. The butter chicken was overly greasy and lacked the rich, aromatic flavors I expected. The naan bread was cold and seemed like it had been reheated multiple times for it to be soft-ish. The lamb curry me and my family took was a major letdown. The meat was tough and chewy, lacking any tenderness or flavor infusion from the spices. The curry sauce itself was overly oily and lacked the rich, aromatic blend of spices that usually define a good curry. It tasted bland and uninspired, leaving me wishing I had took something else in the buffet however everything else was utterly disgusting. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend Royal Indian Buffet based on my visit. The quality of both the food and service was below par, and there are far better options for Indian cuisine in the area.
