My first time going here and me and my husband loved it! It was all fresh and so yummy! Everything we got we loved! So glad we have a new Japanese go to!
We have Dined in here a couple of times, though we usually have gotten it to go.
We have never been disappointed in any of the food we have had. And when we get it to go, it’s always for 4 or more, but unlike many other places, we always got what we wanted. I lived in Japan in the late 70’s, and went back to visit around 2015. I have eaten at some of the best sushi places there and here in Las Vegas, but I have not seen any place that I could honestly say was better than this place!
Some of the best sushi we’ve had in a very long time! Everything was fresh, the tempura was light and crispy, and the garlic edamame was fantastic!
I stopped wanting to go to ayce sushi because Sakura Ya just makes everything better somehow.
We recently visited this restaurant for lunch for the first time, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and polite, making us feel welcomed. The service was impressively prompt, by the way.
We decided to try three different combinations, and I must admit, the Hawaii roll surpassed all expectations. Its flavors were simply exquisite! Moreover, I couldn't help but appreciate the tasteful decorative touches that adorned the interior of the restaurant.
Rest assured, we will definitely be returning in the future.
Favorite sushi spot in the NW. Chill atmosphere and delicious food.
My husband and I were headed to smiths and decided to stop in before we went. At first we were excited, but after looking at the menu- which has many options; it was lacking descriptions. We decided to try the fried shumai for our appetizer, and it was very odd. It had a frozen flavor. We thought it would be pork; but ended up being very fishy. Then for our entrees we got the chicken fried rice, and tonkatsu ramen and again had an odd flavor. I think it was out of a frozen bag. I took one bite of the rice and immediately was grossed out. We just politely asked for our check and left. Definitely think this place only has such good ratings for their sushi, and bento boxes.

Sakura Ya is our favorite place to dine authentic Japanese. Yakisoba is bomb. Largest Hamachi Kama serving we've seen. Freshest fish quality in a good price. The server treats you like family. Chefs are awesome.

What a wonderful restaurant! Love their sashimi- so fresh and the portions are great. Dine in customers get miso and a salad with the sashimi order, making it a great little set meal. Also got the shrimp yakisoba, which comes with a huge portion.
Kid-friendliness: From metal water cups with a straw to general friendliness and attention to details with allergies, eating here with kids is a breeze!

We wanted to find a Japanese restaurant that served bento. We found Sakura Ya in the Skye Canyon Center. Their menu is extensive including bento. There is lots of parking with handicap parking and handicap access. It opens at 11am. The interior is nice clean with charming Asian decor. The atmoshere was cozy, relaxing. We were greeted warmly as we entered. There is booth seating or table seating. We chose the booth which was comfortable. Mandy our server and her assistance were wonderful, very attentive, patient and pleasant. Hubby ordered the sushi lunch special and I ordered the sashimi lunch special. Both came with miso soup and salad. The presentation was beautiful. The sashimi was delicious, fresh and delectable. The miso soup was yummy. The portions were just right. The prices were moderate. This was a great find. We will definitely return soon to try the ither items.

We came in right as their lunch special is about to end and the host was kind enough to let us order from that menu.
Service was Excellent! It was not very busy when we came in so we didn't have to wait long to get our order. They were very attentive and made sure our drinks were filled and that we were enjoying our meal.
The food was good and very filling. Great value for the price point.

Decent sushi. Their sushi is good, but would only rate around 4-4.2. Glad to have sushi in this area.

I’m always up for trying a new sushi place, because so many are subpar. I don’t understand the high reviews. It was difficult to find the place because their sign wasn’t even lit up. And I walked in on a Saturday night and only two tables had people. I don’t like to bash family owned restaurants, but this was mediocre at best. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, hopefully. But I can say I will never go back.
