I had Salt and Straw recently and I tried the samples of the unique flavors and got a cup of the Chocolate Brownie . First with the Olive Oil ice cream, it didn’t taste that great and tasted very bad. Secondly for the Tomato Pie ice cream, it actually tasted nice for some reason but just be warned of the bad aftertaste. Thirdly for the Pear and Blue Cheese ice cream wich was actually good with a sweet and slightly salty taste and I don’t even like Pears and I hate Blue Cheese. Before ending the crazy flavors the Strawberry Black Pepper had some taste Which I think I had something similar before. Lastly I got the chocolate Brownie ice cream, the ice cream was creamy stretchy and sweet and I think Salt and straw is actually decent.
Amazing ice cream flavors, some that really challenge you
Among the best ice cream we’ve ever had. Got the strawberry tres leches and salted chocolate chip cookie dough and it was great. Cheaper than the Downtown Disney location, too.
Many unique and unusual flavors. Some of the flavors are quite salty too. But if you're into that, the ice cream is very good.
This is the pinnacle of ice cream shops! They’re equal part perfectionists with their flavor combinations and equal parts creative genius. Yes, there are some flavors that are out there a little bit but they still have the crowd pleasers like freckled mint and coffee and love nuts. Highly recommend!
Should have tried them all. Interesting flavors. Worth the drive such as nice area to walk around at night.
Why is salt & straw so delicious?! I almost always end up leaving with a pint of a new flavor to indulge on later. Life is beautiful
Been here so many times and to the original location in Oregon. The flavors can be hit or miss, but you can’t go wrong with the honey lavender and honestly getting a random weird ice cream flavor every now and then I think is part of the experience! If you love this, you have to go to the local spot, which is sorry not sorry Also! In my photos, I have one of the delicious pie ice creams, which is the rhubarb pie with almond crust and it is so delicious. I recommend asking for the little waffle circles because they add an extra crunch to your ice cream experience without having to get a full waffle cone, which can be way too much especially when you just had dinner or lunch or something like that!
Tried the flight (4 flavors) + a couple to taste. The flavors are unique, but not all of them are hits. I appreciate the adventurous nature; however, it was 50/50 on what I considered good. Give it a try yourself! The price point is a bit higher than other places, so keep that in mind.
Love this shop and come here all the time. Just wanted to share a quick piece of feedback: I asked for a sample of the olive oil flavor and was given such a tiny amount that I could barely taste it. At first I thought maybe that’s just how samples are done here, but I noticed the customer after me was given a much larger, overflowing one. No big deal, but consistency goes a long way, it just felt a little off. Thought I’d mention it in case it’s helpful.

My favorite ice cream shop hands down word flavors but that’s my favorite part I go back every month just so see what new flavors they have especially seasonally!

Ice cream at its best! Although the new fall critter flavor is not something I would try, given, you know, actual bugs, I'll give them props for doing it. I'll stick to honey lavender and all their regular flavors!

Salt and Straw in the new uncommon is a must visit. Nice variety of sorbets, ice creams and lots of other snacks. Plenty of setting room inside or out. I found prices to be on the high side as one scoop of the snickerdoodle & cinnamon in a very small cup was over 8 bucks. It was delicious but about the size of a tennis ball. They offer the golf ball size too which I figured was too small. They did not have cake cones and only offer the waffle cones or cups.
