I forgot to review this place when I visited a few months back, but now is as good of time as any to play catchup. I was hitting up a comic store located in the same plaza when hunger struck. The plaza itself has a decent amount of food options, but pizza was calling so we figured why not checkout Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and Grill. The restaurant is pretty massive offering a ton of seating. We were seated right away and sat at a table that had dirty plates on it, so that was a pretty good start. The waitress herself was extremely friendly and apologetic and did replace the plates right away, after that, we were handed extremely dirty and stained menus.......so it was off a a super fun start. Once the the dirty plates and menus were out of the way, we got to enjoy some food at least. The menu here is pretty large and features the usuals like pizza, pasta, and sandwiches but also featured things like fish tacos, sliders, and even lobster bisque. For us, we ended up starting out with the meatballs and marinara which was decent at best. The meatballs were small, lacked much flavour with the sauce, and aren't something I would care to revisit in the future. We didn't want to overdo it at lunch so we just ordered a Margherita Pizza and it honestly tasted like a pizza you buy at the grocery store, throw in the oven, and scoff it down without every expecting it to taste like actual pizza, so basically, the pizza wasn't very good. The dough with on the doughy side which I do like, but the extremely bland sauce and cheese did no favours. My biggest complaint about this place? the prices. I don't mind paying for quality, at all, I mean, all I do is eat out and blow money. The pizza cost around the $18 mark while the meatballs were about $14 and since none of the food was actually very good, it was absolutely not worth it. Overall, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza and Grill was not a good experience. When the first two things I came in contact with were dirty, it should of been a sign to just leave. My one positive comment is that our server was extremely nice and I do feel bad that she had to deal with similar things, but in the end, I would rather eat Pizza Hut then step foot in this place again.

Came here with the family after a bad day, daughter's skateboard was stolen and she was crying for awhile. The waitress Patsy, was consoling her and brought out some of their cotton candy for her at the end of our meal. It put a huge smile on her face...and for that gesture and this kind of customer service, they get 5 stars from me! Their goat cheese pizza is always my go to and my most favorite. We also got the royal hawaiian, margherita and New York style pizzas which were all delicious. Great customer service and great food! And thank you Patsy!!!

Service is great! But the food, the primary reason we go to restaurants, was so-so. Quality of ingredients is good, but portions are small and there was really nothing special with the pizza (which is in their title). Everything else food-wise seemed "ok", either well made but small portions, or made badly in larger portions. Not sure why it has 4.5 stars... its probably a 3.5 - 4 star place (on average)

I walked in there w my family ordered entire order immediately as soon as we sat down took about 10 minutes to get ice tea and water w no straws and another 10 min to get straws then even 20 min after that i was waiting on appetizers a chilli and bloody mary still didnt come we got frustrated w lack of service or care of customers we left

The most friendly service we have had in a long time!!!! I wanted to take my 5 year old grandson out to dinner tonight. I told him he can choose anywhere he wanted to go. He choose Sammy's Woodfired Pizza!! So happy he did!! Our server was Bow!! She is an absolutely amazing Server! She knows her job!! Servers who see guests with kids walking into a restaurant knows the way to make that party happy is through the kids!! She alone made our time there very relaxing so we can enjoy the great food!! Then comes out with a plate of cotton candy!!! What a way to end the night!! Thank you Bow for the great experience!!!

Found this pizza place on Yelp near me to enjoy a pizza for National Pizza Day. I love a good bbq chicken pizza so I was really excited to try theirs. The crust was doughy which I actually like cause it makes it so you can actually reheat it. This pizza had chunks of chicken and decent flavor but was quite small for the price in my opinion. I wanted a bit more BBQ flavor than what I got. I also got cheesy garlic bread which was tasted okay but it felt like I bit into raw garlic and it was far too small for the same cost as a pizza. I won't completely count this place out as their dough was tasty and they have lots of unique flavors I'd consider trying.

This place has gone downhill…it use to be one of my favorite pizza restaurants in town. I just moved back to Vegas and was craving their pizza so we went an ordered the Sicilian & BBQ chicken. Small pizzas almost $20 each. Hands down the worst two pizzas I’ve ever eaten. I really wanted to tell the waitress but she was great so I felt bad and didn’t mention it to her. I’ll never go back though. Ps. My cousin and gf were with me and they agreed with me 100%.
I have never left a restaurant so disappointed. The server was great, but the food was soo sad. We felt ripped off paying what we did for the quality of the food.

Came in for brunch. The steak and fried was delicious. The chicken wings were amazing would highly recommend and definitely coming back. I think Gwen was my server and she was so nice and helpful

Food was great, Service was fast, Happy hour menu was bomb, Price is great and PATSY our waitress was the best. She's like the woodfire to the sammy's she made everything great.. shes the lettuce to the chicken wrap, the meatballs to the marinara, and the mozzarella to the margherita pizza.

It was my first time eating here and I can say that this place is a hidden gem. There wasn't a lot of people so we were able to be seat quickly. We came in time for happy hour and I'm glad we did. Everyone was so delicious and our food came out at a good pace. Our server was friendly and was extremely helpful. I would definitely come back here!
