Wanted to try this place. Call before you head over there. They are temporarily closed and should update their status on Google .

The food is absolutely amazing. I ordered so many stuff and all of them were awesome. I love otoro. I think 100 bucks for a big bowl of otoro is pure joy for me. It was fresh and fatty…my companion is a picky eater and she also loved all the food. The service was kinda bad for whatever reason.

I’m from Hawaii, where I’ve gotten used to eating freshly caught local fish all the time — so when I moved to Vegas, I honestly didn’t expect to find sushi that could hold up. But Shigotonin really surprised me.

The fish quality was excellent. They said it’s flown in from Kyoto, and you can tell. Everything tasted fresh and clean. My favorite was the golden eye snapper with konbu shio — subtle, elegant, and perfectly seasoned. I also had the bluefin temaki set, which had crisp nori and a generous portion size. (Maybe a bit too generous? Everything here tends to be cut big — not exactly delicate knife work, but hey, you won’t leave hungry.)

Service was personal and kind. The owner greeted every guest, and Max took my order, he went out of his way to help me choose a balanced set of dishes without overlap. He even used his phone to show me the menu visually, which helped a lot! Thank you Max and Bayu for good service!

If I had to nitpick, I’d say the plating and presentation could use a little more love. The black table and plates make the food kind of blend in, and some dishes (like the scallop carpaccio) tasted great but looked a bit plain. A touch of garnish or color would help. Also, the booth seats had no back support — not a big deal, but something to note.

I finished with the sweet potato and ice cream dessert, which was warm and satisfying, but again — very chunky. Like everything else here, not the most refined plating, but the taste made up for it.

Overall, it was a great first sushi experience in Vegas — and coming from someone used to Hawaii’s seafood, that’s saying a lot. I’d definitely come back.

Visited Shigo tonight and had a fantastic time! The quality of the food is great - super fresh and authentic. Bayu, our waiter, was extremely attentive and did a great job of walking us through the menu and taking care of us.

We had a great experience at the restaurant! Our server, Bayu, was friendly and super helpful—he introduced us to the menu using pictures, which made it so much easier to understand the different fish. The sashimi was fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious.

Undeniable the food is really fresh and taste really delicious. But unfortunately, they will need to work on their service. We felt a little left out in the restaurant as our male server just ‘disappear’ after placing our order. It’s also took about 40 mins to serve our food as the restaurant is not busy at all, and people who come in later got their food first than us. Our male server didn’t even check on us or put any eye contact to make sure we are doing okay at our table. I don’t know is it because we just ordered 2 entree and consider as ‘small’ order and not willing to serve us? I don’t know … just felt disappointed with their service.

This is one of my favorite sushi spots in Vegas! I highly recommend the bluefin tuna — it’s always incredibly fresh, tender, and generously portioned. The owner and staff are all kind and welcoming. Our server, Bayu, was fantastic, super friendly and gave great menu recommendations. If you love sushi, this place is a must-try!!!

The food was outstanding — especially the sashimi, which was unbelievably fresh, sweet, and practically melted in our mouths. Every bite was bursting with flavor and clearly crafted with care and top-quality ingredients.

Our server, Bayu, was friendly, warm, and attentive throughout the meal. He made us feel so welcome and added a genuinely kind touch to the dining experience.

Absolutely unacceptable. This restaurant blatantly violates the ADA by refusing to let my service dog perform its duties unless it’s locked in a cage — their words, “that’s the only way you can dine in.” Even worse, they suggested I could leave the dog in a cage outside in 105°F heat. That is not just illegal — it’s inhumane and outrageous.

Service dogs are not pets. They are legally protected working animals, and denying them access is discrimination, plain and simple. I’ve already reported this restaurant to the proper authorities for violating federal law. I hope others think twice before supporting a place that treats people with disabilities like this.

Very authentic. Everything was super fresh tasting. High end cuts. Loved everything. The uni pasta was also a fun and delicious concept.

Waited about 5 mins and walked out. We were not greeted, and the place was empty and poorly decorated. Was looking forward to trying a new place but would rather wait at another place at least being acknowledged. I feel like a dodged a complete, poor experience.

Amazing spot for some fresh, traditional sushi. They had amazing fish options including bluefin and some A5 Wagyu nigiri. Lots of good sake. Will absolutely be going back.

Very good food and ok service. Atmosphere was a bit too minimalistic. Owner was nice.
I give only 4 stars because the price point was too high for comparable food/experience. Definitely a one-time visit rather than a repeat visit place.
