Chill spot for Vietnamese food in Spring Valley, run by real ones. The pho broth hits just rightâtastes homemade and legit. You can hear the staff speaking their native tongue in the kitchen, which says a lot. This time I went with the bĂşn (vermicelli noodle salad) with egg rolls and grilled steakâfire. Super friendly folks too. Love supporting local love. Much respect.

I ordered the rare beef pho. Nothing phenomenal. If I was in the area I would eat here but I wouldnât go out of my way. Our waiter was friendly but hard to find.

Sidestreet Pho & Grill has been a staple for my girlfriend, who has dined here over 30 times. But after this visit, we both left wondering if the magic had faded. While the food had its moments, the inconsistency and service left a bad taste in our mouthsâsomething even the best pho canât fix.
The shrimp spring rolls were absolute perfection. Fresh, tightly wrapped, and bursting with flavor. But then came the peanut sauce, which was as bland as an unsalted cracker dipped in water. It didnât do those rolls justice, and we found ourselves wishing for a little spice, salt, or really anything to save it. The rare beef pho? Phenomenal. A hearty broth that was rich and flavorful, with perfectly tender beef slices. If you come here just for this, you might leave happy. But unfortunately, my girlfriendâs tofu pho was an entirely different story. You know what makes tofu pho special? The tofu. You know what they didnât include in hers? The tofu. And then thereâs the serviceâor lack thereof. This was my third visit, and Iâve never had high expectations for their attentiveness, but this was something else. We had to ask three separate times for silverware. Three. For a place my girlfriend has raved about for years, this was a major letdown. Whatâs baffling is that the management hasnât changed. So why has the experience taken such a hit? Sidestreet used to be her go-to, but now itâs clear that consistency is no longer their strong suit.

They used shredded chicken in their fried rice. For that price, I would think they would at least use actual chicken breast or something. Quality has gone down. I have lived in the area and Iâm not sure if itâs new ownership but definitely things have changed.
we had the worst experience. we ordered food to go and paid for it , after waiting for 30 minutes, i asked the employee where our to-go was. the employee said we never paid for it without even checking his computer. he kept saying something like we never paid for the food with a bad attitude like we are trying to fool him for the food. after arguing with him, the other employee found out we did pay and the food was ready after 45 minutes.
so, ask for a receipt if you order to go, or you might be accusing of not paying for your food like a criminal. I WILL NEVER go to this restaurant again. plus, the food is not so good and the coffee we ordered was only 80% of the cup, mostly ice.

I wish I wouldâve seen the reviews like I normally do before trying a new place (especially Pho) I checked for closest pho place since my usual one was closed today since my daughter is feeling sick wanted to grab her soup quickly. Ordered $8 Vietnamese iced coffee asked if can have more creamer guy said no since I asked for light ice. The cup is almost full with ice? Just melted a bit on the way home.
