My boyfriend found several gray cloth like bits in his matzo ball soup. We thought that it may be shredded bits from a dish rag. Our server described how they make the soup and kept insisting that the dish was okay. ‘I don’t think anything should be gray in the soup,’ I said. She was resolute in her bizarre stance and made no apologies or effort to see our side after an obvious mistake by the kitchen.
He decided to order another kind of soup. Then, the manager came over and asked if we’d like the chef to come out and let us know the ingredients in the previous soup. What she said was appalling. I work in the service industry, and neither I, nor my managers would handle a situation this poorly.
The cherry on top is that we still got charged for the soup.
(I really still don’t understand why they were fighting us so hard over a bowl of soup.)
I’m sure that nothing will be done to rectify the situation, outside of a generic response by a social media staff member who ‘values my feedback’ and reassures me that my comments will ‘help them improve’.

Tried out their restaurant week 3 course with the braised short rib Benedict, first course fruit plate with granola was great perfectly ripe melons was great their short rib Benedict with hash was very under seasoned with the sauce tasting of only butter and the ribs lacking flavor, desert with peanut butter gelato with bacon was interesting but the bacon added only salt

I was going to leave this place a really poor review after feeling overlooked. It took 5-10 minutes before anyone spoke to me after being seated. A very incredible server named Carmen seemed to notice I hadn’t been served yet and went above and beyond to find my server. . What happened to me did not seem to be happening to anyone else and the service from carmen definitely made me feel taken care of. I absolutely love the Westgate and the restaurants located inside after this experience. The food was incredible as well. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Overall, a reasonably good lunch today. It was convenient to the convention rooms, had fast seating for 1, and the Prime Rib Sandwich was delicious. The meat was tender, not chewy, and the au jus complemented it well. My order was taken quickly, but it did take a long time to get my sandwich, which was surprising, as it wasn’t very crowded.

I was overall disappointed with my experience. The waiter took 10 min to come to the table (which is fine as the place is busy), but then proceeded to tell me that the meal I wanted only got served until 11AM (it was 11:08). There was nothing written in the menu, online or on the add about that item being time sensitive. Then they proceeded to take over 30 min to serve my avocado toast. I don’t know if it was because I was there by myself, but the service isn’t what I expected.

We were in a hurry, and the hostess helped see us right away. The waitress came right away and took our order and our food was delicious. The aesthetic isn’t that nice But they sure are nice and they got our food out quickly.
