Service was bad, the chicken was old if you don’t get the beef there ain’t much, mashed potatoes were lumpy…
I don't usually leave bad reviews and keep things to myself, but this establishment is exceptional. By far the most pathetic meal I've ever paid for. I ordered steak and eggs and I'm not exaggerating in the least bit when I say the steak was equivalent to a slice of bologna in thickness, size and flavor. One burned egg and one raw egg. My wifes plate was equally disgusting. It was extremely expensive. I hope this review really gets out there and saves people some heartache and money. The server was nice, understanding and kind. Beware folks.
The younger generation has lost the art of waiting tables
We were there for the breakfast rush.
Jerry you do great work, thank you
Great food and our server Jorge was awesome. Want to stay at the hotel just so I can eat there 3 meals a day. Menu was great and cool history.
We just wanted breakfast but were told by security that this is a 21+ bar, so kids not allowed in. Clearly listed as American Restaurant, so we're confused.
Our stay at El Cortez was FUN & comfortable.
Food at Siegel's 1941, yummmmmm
We came here because of some good recommendations from Reddit - although some of our food was ok, I really did not appreciate the lack of effort for service recovery from the staff's behalf. Our steak and eggs order was $31, with hashbrowns and sunny side up eggs. As you can see in the photo, they served us eggs with really runny whites, and the hashbrowns tasted really bad. I would've loved to bring that to the attention of the server in a timely manner to have the dish remade, but the server never came to our table to ask about our food. When he finally came back to take our plates, we talked to him and they called the casino floor manager. The solution: nothing.
I understand that casinos offer better service for high rollers and gamblers, but $31 is a rounding error for a casino, having that comped or discounted would have costed nothing.
The food was really good. My friend got the prime rib special and she was very content. The service was a little slow. Seemed to have only one server at the time. But the did came in a timely manner. Would definitely go back.
For the past 10 years we come to Vegas at least 4 times a year. We have dinner at Siegel’s at least twice for each visit. The food is always good and the portions are great. Normally we order the Spaghetti and Meatballs and the Ultimate Tuna Melt. Today’s Tuna Melt had almost next to none of tuna. It was quite disappointing. The Spaghetti was lukewarm. Overall the service was great, the atmosphere is nice.

Ordered the prime rib special. Good deal for the price. Thick cut, but a little dry for medium rare. Excellent horseradish cream. Would order it again.
Had breakfast at Siegel’s at the El Cortez and was genuinely impressed. I ordered the Farm House Breakfast, and it was absolutely amazing—fresh, hearty, and full of flavor. The service was excellent, with staff being attentive, friendly, and quick without making the experience feel rushed.
It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service are this good, especially at such a reasonable price. Definitely well worth it, and I’ll be coming back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend for a solid breakfast in downtown Vegas!
French toast was excellent. Three egg omelette for $20 was ok but overpriced compared to other entrees.
Tried the Prime Rib Special. It was okay for the price, but had better. Meatball sandwich has almost no marinara sauce.
This is always a must stop for us when we are in Las Vegas. We were a little disappointed that it has changed to 21 and up as we have taken our “kids” there on a previous trip and the youngest is now only 18.
