Siempre J.B.

The restaurant is pretty but does not live up to what is depicted on the website. The food is just okay. To start with, the chips lacked in flavor. The salsa was quite good but not particularly hot. The taquitos were flour and were doughy. The watermelon and jicama salad was very good. The mole sauce, while spicy, was underwhelming. The trio of enchiladas were just shredded chicken rolled in corn tortillas with three sauces, rojo, verde and mole. There should have been more sauce, and the chicken was unseasoned. I make better chicken enchiladas. The carnitas dinner was good but dry. Dessert was churros which were good. The tres leches cake had no flavor. When we were first seated, the music was fine, but later when the DJ appeared, it got very loud and conversation was not possible. I was anticipating genuine Mexican flavors, but JB Siempre did not deliver.

We were the only customers for the first half of our time there until more customers arrived at the restaurant later. Our service was not that great, even though it wasn't busy. While we had our waters refilled, they never offered to get us more alcoholic beverages, which we would have. We had ordered a bottle of wine and wanted another, but they did not return to our table except to bring the food. There was also a significant discrepancy in the food being served. One of the plates came out 10-15 minutes after the others were served. When the restaurant first opened, it was terrific. I'm not sure if it is under new management, but we won't be coming back. It was disappointing and so expensive.

Overall a good experience except for the loud music. Great drinks, great food, and great service. Remove the DJ and I would have given this place 5 stars.

We had a highly anticipated birthday dinner here. Unfortunately the staff seemed scattered. We were not asked about a drink order, Joe received drink menu until we promoted a server. We also were seated at a six top and not a booth. The meal was okay. Nothing over the top. Good food. Standard portions. The main issue came with the dessert. No one sang happy birthday and we were given very small amount of ice cream.

Nice atmosphere but a few things.. the table we sat at was wobbly pretty bad, the napkin I was given had a big food stain on it.. like it was old food, and the tostada carne asada was not that good. It was also way too spicy. The music/DJ was way too loud.

This is a beautiful restaurant, and great service. The food on the other hand needs a lot of work.

Perfection every single time! The service is always outstanding and the cuisine is beyond delicious!

I tried to order a chicken breast to be added to my salad. The server told me I can order a chicken taco, take the chicken OUT of the taco, and then put the chicken onto my salad. How stupid can this place get? As someone who has over a decade in the food and restaurant in industry, this is insane.  BUT wait it gets worse... I tried to split my payment with cash and the rest on card. Staff told me they couldn't do it, their “system wouldn't allow it”. So I lied and told them I can't pay. All of a sudden they figured it out. I can't tell if management is bad or if staff are not trained properly, possibly all of the above.  Server took forever to come around and take our orders. Took even longer to get a glass of water. Took 20 to 25 minutes to get our drinks, and some of the drink order was wrong.  I got the mushroom salad, it was not good at all. Mushrooms are served cold and not grilled or sautéed. 

We had reservations at 5:30pm. When we arrived, they were closed. We tried calling and all we got was answering machine.

They have this DJ in a small restaurant! It was so loud we left. Was looking forward to dining there. Here's a clue lose the DJ gain the crowd.

Food and services were acceptional but the music was way too loud and didn't fit the restaurant. DJ didn't even care about the guests, head down the whole time. So he wouldn't know no one enjoy it.

everything was perfect! the food was delicious and the service was excellent! we received excellent service from Brandon, I will come again! ☺️

Overall, my husband and I had a pleasant experience Since it was not busy at all (5pm Sat.) we were a bit unsure if it was open but soon after the waiter greeted us, seated us, and throughout the entire experience, they checked in on us and provided us with everything we needed. They even inquired if we spoke Spanish, which made us feel comfortable. From that point on, the experience was great. The restaurant started to fill up a bit after and we still enjoyed the delicious food. I would defined recommend and go again

The service was excellent—attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the same standard. My filet was overcooked, and several of the other dishes tasted like something I could have gotten at an authentic Mexican restaurant for a much lower price and better quality. Overall, it felt overpriced for what we received.

Margarita great. Service great.
$9 carne asada taco average. Carnitas good but still average. Benchmark Lupitas in Cabo — give me something modern or unique in flavor and presentation and I’ll come back.
