Food was delicious. Nice outdoor seating area in a nice area. I got the hatch chille hot link sandwich, the heat was crazy, I really enjoyed it. The mac and cheese was delicious. My husband got the belly of soul, he loved it. The pickles we each got were SOOOO GOOD. His Brussel sprouts were really yummy. Service was great.

Ordered a plate to go, Burnt ends were delicious and perfectly cooked, a bit salty but I personally like that. The brisket was inconsistent, one piece I got was really good and moist and the other was dry and not very flavorful. Cornbread was very moist but not too flavorful. For 27 bucks it was pretty average but I will be coming back just to order those burnt ends.

Staff was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the spicy potato wedges and fried mac and cheese balls. The hamburger was also delish!

Visited the Arts District for the first time and wanted something easy to eat. Soulbelly was great in all aspects. May not be the best bbq I’ve ever had (Texas still wins for best bbq), but it’s good!
Plenty of parking as long you’re willing to walk in Arts District. Honestly, why wouldn’t you want to walk around. Soulbelly was great, with available sitting indoors and outdoors. They’re next to breweries as well so you can have a nice beer with your bbq.
For ordering, it’s order at the front desk, then take your number and grab a seat. There was some confusion when we were there as the waitress taking our order seemed new. First we were told for beer and drinks, we’d have to go to the bar to order and get them. Then she found it on her and added it to our tab. Didn’t mention if we were supposed to go to the bar to get it or what. When we got our food, the waitress asked if there was anything else, we mentioned our beer. I see her go to the front desk and then to the bar to get it for us. Minor hiccup/miscommunication, no biggie, but felt like it needed to be mentioned. Props to the waiter and waitresses serving, very friendly, checks up on us, and kept everything clean.
We sat outside since the music all the way inside was a bit too loud with the band playing. There was also some tv’s for us to watch some football games on.
For food, the Brussel sprouts are amazing. Cooked perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The sauce was great too, gets to be a bit too much at the bottom, so I may ask for light sauce or on the side next time if possible
The brisket was delicious. I forget what “size” we got, but got a mix of lean and fatty. The lean was good, but I loved the fatty brisket. Juicy and tender all around and well-seasoned. I’ll opt for just fatty next time I’m around. Used some of the bread to eat with the fatty juices and it’s great.
Looked around the other tables, and I wished I got the corn bread, it looks great.
Definitely a place I’ll be back to if I’m ever in the Arts District. The vibes, the staff, and the food are all top notch.

Visited SoulBelly for the first time today and ordered a BBQ Combo with smoked turkey, side mac and cheese, and watermelon salad. To start, the smoked turkey was fantastic– juicy and thick slices! However, the mac and cheese was a huge let-down. The order was small, cold, and very watery! Given the pricing, portion sizes, and other options in the area, SoulBelly was a bit disappointing.

I’ve ate here a few times. It’s a great place to grab some food while you’re at first Friday since it’s just a short walk from where it is located. The food is great and filling, I have to get the fries since I have a smaller appetite but my fiance got a few of the brisket and sausages and they were sooo good. They also host live music and the environment is so fun and lively

The food is amazing!!! The servers are great too. They have live music, but it's a small venue so it's quite loud. Not conducive to doing anything but listening and the band was just fair. We, like most of the patronage, begged to sit outside. They need more outdoor seating for those nights or better acoustics. But it's not every night, so maybe check ahead. The food is all worth it though. Fantastic! We'd come back on a not live night.

This place was definitely amazing for its food, but someone from out of town not knowing that they have a live band playing every second Saturday of the month, we had a 4-year-old child with us and I have to say the hostess should have seen that and suggested seating further away from the band. Eventually, we had to tell another hostess if we could move outside. Besides that, great food, friendly people, and just an overall wonderful presence. I would recommend this if you're looking for barbecue outside the strip.
