THE FOOD WAS A LITTLE COLD... once it got to our table! I'm not quite sure if the kitchen forgot one of our orders and set the other meals in our party to sit for 45 mins but it certainly felt that way. I ordered my usual local favorite, the ham steak and eggs and it honestly was barely even warm. I'm just thankful the flavor was fantastic and the portion was great, however I would appreciate my food to come out hot.
I thought the sourdough bread was tasty, they serve it with an amazing butter spread that gives a country-style flavor. I've come here before and the bread is just as good as before!
The place wasn't overly packed and there was plenty of staff, I'm not quite sure why it took so long to get our food. The waitress was friendly enough, she wasn't the most attentive but she got help from other coworkers to check on us. I can tell that regulars are of top priority here which is slightly problematic and messes with the ambiance.
TIP: I'm a True Rewards member, I HIGHLY recommend grabbing a free membership card on the floor before eating here so you get a sizable discount on your food! Unfortunately, my waitress forgot to give me a discount, so stay on top of your servers!

I waited over an hour for a simple
BLT with fries. The person I was dining with was served and finished their meal before mine arrived. The chef came to the table and offered an apology saying that they are very busy but the restaurant is filled with mostly empty seats. Then the waitress asked if we'd like to see the manager and my dining companion said ok. After waiting another 30 minutes, the manager never showed up so we left. Obviously I left no tip and this is something I never do.

I rarely go to Arizona Charlies and it's been years since I ate at the Sourdough Cafe. I know it's a budget locals place and a lot of people go here after a night of gambling. I had a $15 Comp , so I decided to give it another try. The couple times I got a Comp that I used , I did takeout at the PT Express for chicken wings and I did a sandwich once too. It wasn't too busy when I went later in the night on Saturday to my surprise.
I sat at the bar since the host / cashier was busy checking people out and couldn't sit me at a table. I ordered a draft beer and the Ultimate Western Bacon Cheeseburger which is a 1/2lb beef patty, pulled pork, bacon, onion rings, cheddar cheese, smoky BBQ sauce, toasted bun with fries for $13.99. I have to say the burger really surprised me , it was old school charbroiled tasty burger like you used to get not the bland tasting flat grill burger or the ones with fake grill marks on it. The pulled pork on it was actually pretty good too considering most places in Nevada don't have really good pulled pork. But the one bad thing I can say and I just realized it was that mine didn't have onion rings on it. I was just looking at the menu now online and realized that now.
The fries were decent , but not great , did the job. All sandwiches served with choice of fries, coleslaw or potato salad. Substitute tater tots or sweet potato fries add $.0.99. Substitute onion rings or side salad add $1.99. My draft beer was not very good. I think my mug still had remnants of cleaning soap on it causing it to taste a little funny. I would have asked for a different drink , but my waitress went on break and I was like a little soapy taste won't kill me. It was a large mug , I believe 22 ounces.
They have a lot of specials and daily specials to choose from. They are posted just outside the door. The regular burger special is pretty cheap , but I wanted a little more with mine and I do recommend the burger , but next time I would get onion rings instead of the fries.

Out of the 70+ times I have been here, I have on a handful of times with one hand, had a bad experience. I always sit at the bar, as I am an impatient person but the people at the bar counter who serve and help are phenomenal in what they do. Liz especially! She has always taken great care of me, knows exactly what I order and makes sure I’m always doing good. I highly recommend her as your server.
My food has never been cold, it’s always been exactly how I wanted it, and if there was something I was ever displeased about it was taken care of for me. The rewards using your true rewards card sometimes even gets you half off your entire meal. It’s a casino place, so it has its downfalls but overall you get what you get when you want something good, cheap, and a hidden gem. Give it a shot if you haven’t, and if you get a chance definitely try out the bar and get a breakfast meal. Personal recommendation (farmhouse breakfast)
Parking: It’s a casino parking lot but completely free, more options earlier in the morning but relatively not a far walk at all!
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp outside for anyone who cannot access stairs.

Sourdough Cafe at Arizona Charlie's Cafe is dated with booths and a design going back to when the casino first opened. There gas been no refresh of the interior and it's wood bench seating and thin cushions.
Food is either hit or miss although they have some great specials that offer added discounts with card status.
Even when not busy, you might find yourself waiting an extremely long time for your meal.
Since it's right down the road, I eat here often for the convenience.
Notable is a 90 minute wait for two club sandwiches as a dine in
Going on 45 minutes for a hamburger to go with less than 10 diners inside.
An hour wait for a breakfast three days ago.
They've encountered numerous issues with their computer system or being short staffed which forced them to close the door to additional people being sat.
There are some great servers though that know your name and greet you with a smile.
Gaye, Angie, and hostess Liz are three to definitely ask for.
Cheap eats, food inconsistent, a few wonderful servers and cashiers
For what is an uncomplicated menu, they need to do better in the kitchen. Get the staff, pay a little more to the cooks because no one should be in a Cafe for 90 min unless they want to be. It shouldn't take 45 min for a rare burger.
At the least, be transparent about the wait.
Note. When I rate service, I'm not talking about the wait staff but the time it takes orders to leave the kitchen

The food was ok. I ordered the half rack of ribs and I couldn’t substitute the fries for mashed potatoes which was odd to me. I end up getting them on the side. The baked beans were good/The cornbread was also good. The ribs were soso I’ll give them 5/10. The waitress was really nice and very attentive(Felicia is her name)

Food was great, I ate everything, the only thing I didn't like was the chicken small, but I'd recommend coming here for dinner.
