We had reservations, but had to wait an hour for the patio even though we were staying at the Bellagio and that I had put in a lot of time and requests with the concierge to see what she could do. That didn't negatively affect the experience. It is definitely worth the wait for the patio. It's a smaller patio than I anticipated, but the view of the fountains is extraordinary. The staff was kind and attentive, and the food was spectacular. 
The food and service were impeccable. We had the best waiter, Paul. Ask for patio seating, although it's not guaranteed they will Try to accommodate. The Bellagio Fountains provides a beautiful setting.
The whole experience was outstanding, starting with the service and ending with an espectacular dinner starting with a beautiful sea food tower all our entrees were perfectly prepared and lasting with a delicious dessert
