I'm not looking for anything fancy from a burger joint, so if your plain burger can stand on its own, you are doing something right. Delicious shoestring fries are included with every burger, I just wish it was a little more. Compare this to any fast food burger spot and steak and shake is miles ahead of them. Better food, better price point AND their ice cream machine is never broken. This is a regular stop for me whenever I am in town.

Burgers salad & sandwiches for under $13 anywhere .At Southpoint shakes are 1/2 price Sun-Thur 2-5pm . Easily best milkshakes anywhere in LV. Downgrade for 2024 and 2025 because they cut their menu in half back in 2022 and prices have gone up $2-3 on all the items.

This was my 1st time at steak n shake, and my last.
So please don't judge me but I had 2 burgers, with the fries and 2 milk shakes. I did it for ya'll, so that i can give a review that covers many items.
Okay so where do I start, I ordered the western bacon that supposedly has barbecue and the Swiss portobello burger. Both come with fries, the fries are not good nor bad, just plain thin fries and believe it or not but I enjoyed them more than the burger.
To start, the BBQ burger had about 2 grams of BBQ inside the top bun in the center. And to think, I lived in this world 31 years thinking the carls jr double western didn't have enough BBQ. But this one from the steak n shake was just a disappointment. I ate it and I don't even remeber if it had onion rings.
The portobello had the Swiss with the meat and mushrooms but I couldn't really gather the flavor. Felt like I had covid, it was missing something.
So I was left in disappointment. Moving on to the shakes.
So I ordered my personal favorite, the oreo shake and the butter fingers shake.
The oreo was solid. But the starw they provide is so thin that you can't comfortably enjoy the shake. You have to suck hard and it's just not fun.
The butterfingers one was okay. Not good, not bad. Just okay. It wasn't as think as the oreo one but it wasn't as good either.
In conclusion, I am retiring from eating here again. But I also want to add that I came here with a group and the memories and good times made it worth it.

The place was not crowded at all, there were about 8 employees just loitering around. The young lady who took my order was pleasant. There were several customers already waiting for their order so I asked how long it would be and she replied about 15 minutes. So I looked around inside the restaurant and there were only 3 occupied tables, the rest were all take out like myself. In any event, my order came, I walked away back to the casino where my friend was waiting for me. and low and behold the fries were cold, hamburger was cold as well. I was not impressed at all. For a place that I had to wait 15 minutes and food was not acceptable, there is definitely something wrong with management of this place and quality of employees. Please read these reviews and take them seriously. I'm in the service industry and if I didn't perform as I should, I would be out of business. There are no ethics or pride of job anymore, very sad!

Man, we had such a great time at Steak ’n Shake in Southport, Las Vegas! From the second we walked in, the host was super friendly and made us feel welcome, like we were regulars. Our waiter was awesome—really on top of things and made sure everything came out just right.
The food? Perfect. It came out fast, hot, and fresh, just the way we like it. The vibe in there was so cool, too, with that old-school music playing—it felt like stepping back in time in the best way.
Now let me tell you about that strawberry milkshake. WOW. I’ve had some good shakes in my time, but this one might just take the cake. It was so creamy and flavorful, I’m still thinking about it.
If you’re ever in Vegas, you’ve gotta check this spot out. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Food was really good and Jared was a very nice waiter he was patient with my mom and explained the difference between the chili 3 way and 5 way , years ago the 5way was on the menu and then they changed it and she has been confused ever since because the beans don’t come on it anymore so he explained it’s a secret menu thing now to ask for the 5way so now the past few years of confusion have been solved thanks to Jared for taking the time
