We went on a Saturday around 11 am and it was not busy and the food was great! The workers were really nice and helpful as well. Our food was served hot and fresh. It does seem like from 2pm to close they are busy with a long line... if you want to try Steak and Shake try going before then for better service and shorter lines ?

Despite the dirtiness of customers leaving trash behind and can not pick up after themselves, overall, we had a great experience! Tonya was the employee we directly interacted with, and no matter how busy it was or how rude a few customers were to her, She stayed 100% professional and was still greeting new customers with a smile. What a great employee to have, especially in this area. Julio was the manager at the time, and he was always attentive to us with a smile. Great team!

We placed an order for 3 milkshakes. After 20 minutes they canceled our order and told us Uber cancelled it . The message I received said steak and shake cancelled it. I asked the girl at the counter why and she said they were out of French fries. I told her we ordered 3 shakes not French fries. She pointed at the African American manager on the cooks line and he proceeded to scream at me from the line that if I wanted my milkshakes I would have to get in line and order again not to keep bothering the staff. Is this the customer service provided to all guest or is this an online ordering thing. I watched others being served milkshake yet I’m told they won’t make mine I’ve already paid for and I’m screamed at by the manager? They can keep their milkshakes in the desert. Shame on steak and shake.

I was the first customer of the day, and all the employees patiently went out of their way not to serve a Black man a hamburger with $340 cash ? ? pulled out of his wallet with a Navy Federal debit card,thanks Fremont Street experience never fails me in 2024. The ladies need to be ashamed of themselves for participating in this bullshit sadly but their all in on it.

The young lady at the counter dark hair; heavy set had a very condescending tone and attitude. She appears to be welcoming but she’s really annoyed that you are in front of her. I hadn’t been to steak and shake in a while and I was looking at all of the opinions and I wasn’t quite set on what I wanted yet so I was slow to order and then she did a sigh, and if I could read her thoughts she was thinking “how are you not ready” and then I asked if they had a specific drink and she said there’s a list! I didn’t know the list was there, but what does she do she starts shouting them out after I asked her what were the other options she directs me to a list then yells them out as her voice is extremely loud. The young man with the wild hair tells out my number and when I said the numbers he just dropped the ketchup and went to the next thing as if I wasn’t asking him if this was mine. The food was great! BUT I think I’ll keep the streak of NOT returning especially if this is the face of the company.
Iv had Steak and shakes plenty of times but tonight was pretty bad. Bad service and bad food would not recommend it to anybody. I'm very sorry because I really like Restaurant.
