Not the wholesome place it one was. Used to be focused on customer service and quality food. Now it's just gimmicks and pointless patriotism. The food is gross, too. The fries are soggy since they switched how they make them.

Whenever I think of going to Steak & Shake, I forget that I've already had this experience. There isn't anything special to the way they give service, the burgers are only mildly good, and the fries leave something to be desired. I have not tried any of their shakes but in the same instance, the employee working never seems enthusiastic enough to ask if I'd like to try one. And then I have to ask for napkins after receiving my order? C'mon now...
