2nd visit and it still delivers. I’m obsessed with their jalapeño margaritas fresh and oh so delicious.

Quick, fast, and flavorful!

The food is really tasty. We usually come here for taco Tuesdays. Order at the counter and they bring your food to you. It can get busy and a bit loud but there are enough areas to dine that you can find a quieter spot in a corner.

Carne asada was super dry/old on the sope i had. Chicharron taco was not good. Al pastor taco was fine. If i had to recommend, i would say drive 10 mins towards chinatown to the taco stand or go find an actual taco stand.

Inside the place is casual nice.

Our bartender Arjay is real young paisano! His quality service fouggetaboutit! 5 stars!!

Taco y Taco never misses! The vibes were chef’s kiss and RJ, our bartender, totally made our night—super friendly, fun, and gave us the best recs. The food? Insane. Tacos so good we considered ordering a second round… just for ourselves. 10/10 recommend if you’re craving good energy, bomb bites, and a margarita (or three). Thanks RJ—you crushed it!

Take advantage of the happy hour deals and the micheladas taste great, the restaurant is always clean and the food comes out fast. The bar area for limes and salsa is always stocked up as well. Orlando is an awesome bartender so props to him- pro tip: if there’s a long line or wait for service- be sure to come to the bar and order

Taco y taco has been around for a minute I will not complain about the food! Always so delicious!!!! However the staff will forget items to my order I had this happen more than twice so I always make sure I get all my food . The place could use newer tables or just a remodeling. I just get it for take out. The prices are a little high but it tastes good so I'm not complaining it's a treat every now and then so I don't mind

If you want to eat your food where the music is so loud, it feels like a club, go here. If you like Carne Asada with no flavor, this is your spot. If you like over priced food that lacks authenticity, definitely eat here.

The food took a long time to come out, everything was brought out separately. They brought out my wife's order first, or at least part of it. Then they brought out a little more and after another 10 minutes of waiting came buy to take the number and asked if we were still waiting for food. I had not gotten my meal yet. The Carne was dry and over cooked and tasted like it had zero seasoning. I hate to say the chips were the best part of the meal, because even they lacked salt and were nothing special.

If you like authentic, flavorful food with a great ambience, this is not the place for you. 10/10 Will not eat there again. We left most the food untouched and left feeling like we had just wasted time and money.

I can't really say enough good things about taco y taco. I Take my Mexican food very seriously, I really am a fan. They're old location on Pecos got me hooked and this newer location is more trendy and has a more upscale feel.
I don't usually go to this end of the city but we were making a visit and I wanted to show my wife an old favorite. She was impressed as well and thought it was delicious. The food is a good value we ended up getting nachos, several micheladas, several vampiros and an elote, and even with leaving a high tip it was still around $60.
We got really lucky and our bartender / server was named Audrie. I would say she was probably the best bartender that I have had in years ..maybe ever? She was extremely knowledgeable about all the food, the drinks, the history of the place, very friendly and funny. If I was a restaurant owner I would beg her to work at my place.
Anyways, I really like to rate places on value. Just because the food tastes great I don't think it's necessarily a five-star if the price is super high. That's just fair value then. But this place is great. The price is fair and the food is extraordinary. You leave feeling like you got your money's worth and then some.
