Another good sushi place in Vegas. Chinatown that is not all you can eat. They have great selection of sushi and sashimi - good quality of fish. They also had some Japanese pasta dish - the uni pasta is pretty good.
They have good cocktails and Japanese beer selection.
Server is great and helpful.
Place is big and not crowded. Ample of parking sharing the Macys lot.

I can even start to describe these place, at the beginning i thought it would be just another restaurant, but i got surprised of how good things are here from the beginning to finish the disher were so flavorful and delicious, one of the best japonese restaurants that i have ever try :) is definitely a must go :)

Ordered 2 platters and a lot of specialty rolls for a large group. My experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The entire staff was responsive, thoughtful, and professional. The sushi was phenomenal and everyone in my group said the sushi was the highlight of the weekend. I can’t thank the team at TARU enough and am so excited to come back. Everything on the menu was wonderful.

Highly recommend this Sushi restaurant. There are only waiters but they are very professional and polite. There are many unique types of sushi that you have never seen before. This is the first restaurant in my life that makes sushi your way, you can choose raw or cooked fish; regular rolls or little rice or no rice. I love this and will come back more often

I've been in Las Vegas for 15 years and nothing compares to Taru!! The food here is absolutely to die for!! This restaurant should be a Star Rating of 5.0, bcuz they do not miss. Chef Joshi is particular with the use of soy sauce and as a soy sauce lover, his advice to enjoy it minimally and really taste the fish and kizami wasabi is spot on! I have never been to Japan to enjoy the finest sushi, but I have a feeling this place is the trend you want to hop on and fast! Their fish is the fresh and delicious. I enjoyed an omakase and that is an array of dishes from sashimi, nigiri & rolls to fresh scallops, hot stone short rib ishiyaki and even uni pasta. My first 3 dishes were the freshest fish I've had in Vegas on and off the strip and the final roll, shu toro roll, was a game changer and definitely will fill you up. The sake I sipped on while enjoying this fabulous meal, the star of the show, Kubota is not only price friendly as it offers an option for 300ml at $40 & 720ml at $100, but has the punch you need to thoroughly enjoy your experience. My server was Jon and Hazuki and they took great care of me & recommended some really awesome choices. The ambience is very tranquil and comforting and you feel at peace when you're having the best sushi Las Vegas has to offer, hands down! It is an experience and a privilege to dine here and I will always be grateful this place exists here in Chinatown Las Vegas. Come and cherish this wonderful experience!!

Everything was amazing. Service Food Ambiance ....... Staff and Owner were so professional and yet friendly. Chefs were entertaining and very knowledgeable. A must for any sushi foodie who doesn't want to pay the ridiculous prices for poor fare on the strip. Once you go to Taru and realize the whole area is packed with amazing restaurants you will never eat at the big hotels on the strip again. Thank you Joon. We will be back.
