If you can avoid this place please do i had jerk chicken the chicken had a weird taste like almost spoiled, and dry, the festival tasted a day old not fresh at all, the plantains was hard, and vegetables were over cooked, I was so mad I called and told him and he said he just cooked everything this morning ( bullshit sir) and then there was silence, um hello,,,,he didn't offer an apology or a refund,,,you will be highly disappointed, avoid avoid avoid!!!!
BRUDDAH BOMBA CLOT . The WORST tasting Jerk Chicken sauce EVER ! Mind you I am a Miami native for 18 years . In S Florida There’s at least 50 different Jamaican spots probably in one center of the city, prices don’t go any higher than $20. For some reason, the larges are the same size of a typical Medium in Miami. The jerk chicken sauce was absolutely horrible. All it was like ….It reminded me of a baby Ray’s spicy barbecue mix with Just hell of a lot pepper in it. NEVER AGAIN . MY BRUDDAH RETIRE

I think this has been the worst Jamaican restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered a small jerk chicken which came with vegetables, rice and peas. The chicken was rough and had a weird salty brown sauce on it, the rice was overcooked and the vegetables were flavorless. That dish was about $15.30. I also ordered a side of plantains that cost $6.03!! There were only 4 plantains in the box. If you're looking for good Jamaican food, I wouldn't recommend going here.

I'm from California and my favorite Jamaican restaurant was Lee's Caribbean restaurant in Inglewood Ca. Moved to Vegas and stumbled on Tasty Island fell in love with the food. Would go every pay day and one day on my lunch I saw a familiar face. It was Mr. Lee from Lee's Caribbean Restaurant he owns this restaurant as well.
I spoke with him and he remembered me coming in the Inglewood restaurant. I told him the reason I kept coming here is because the food reminds me of his restaurant. Now I know why.

Customer service- they can work at their own pace so have some patience it's worth the wait.

Warning to Future Customers: This Restaurant Needs a Health Inspection
I recently visited Tasty Island Jamaican Restaurant located at 6820 W. Flamingo Rd., and I feel compelled to warn others about my experience. This place urgently needs to be investigated by the health bureau.
Upon entering, I discovered that you can only order take-out; there is no seating available. To the right of the entrance, it looks like someone is using what used to be a dining area as an office. Behind a glass window, a man took my order and then went to the back to cook it. I ordered a vegetable Jamaican beef patty, and I’m thankful I didn’t order anything else.
The patty took only two minutes to prepare, which was suspicious. When I opened the bag, it was clear that the patty had been sitting in the freezer for a long time. It seemed to have been thrown into hot grease and served. The patty was inedible and should not be consumed by any human or animal.
It was alarming that someone would serve food in this condition, knowing it had come directly from the freezer. Nothing in this restaurant appears to be cooked fresh, and no food should be given out in such a state.
If you plan to eat here, pray over your food and hope you don’t end up with an infection or a stomach virus. This $4.60 experience taught me never to walk into this place again.

The food is all that matters here. This is what I want from a Jamaican joint. The standards all hit except for the jerk chicken. Too saucy and it detracted from the chicken.
