Combo - jerk chicken/curry goatI am embarrassed as a Jamaican to say, this is the worst jerk chicken I've ever had. People you cant mess up an icon dish that every man, woman and child wants to sample in and outside our country? From the voices coming out of the kitchen, a yardie a preparing these dishes. People, the chicken was not seasoned. It was coated with browning and soya sauce and thrown in the oven to be baked. That's not jerk chicken. The rice and peas that were served was spicy. But again, no where near to what the average Jamaican restaurant would serve for that taste of Jamaica. The curry goat was probably the only dish that was acceptable to any average Jamaican who knows their food. Our country and it's colors hold such great expectations for visitors and individuals who visit and want to taste our food all over the world. Please live up to the expectations of your colleagues back home and internationally within the kitchen.Mr Parri Jamaica.

People complain about poor customer service, but I honestly think that's just Jamaican culture. The service isn't the greatest but I always get the oxtails and they are amazing tender and buttery fall right off the bone. I don't like the vegetables at all they're not seasoned but the oxtails the curry chicken is top-tier.

Bathrooms not really kept up, Chef taste food with his fingers while cooking, Chef uses Margarine, not butter. Food is heates by microwave and served in small portions to make more money, one plantain is served with a meal, a whole plantain cost 35 cents. Suggest going to Paradise Place on Sahara for the best carribean- Jamaican food and hospitality. Tasty island is not friendly to guest, table placemats need to be thrown in the garbage. The owners main concern is making sure the back of the restaurant is clean up to code, only to keep open no violations, no real concern for the customers. Way over priced

I always get the curry chicken it never disappoints! I enjoy Both beef patties and chicken patties. Family owned and operated. They are always kind and polite. Ive been coming here over 20 years! Even the one in Inglewood.

Tasty Island Jamaican Restaurant is located on Flamingo Road of Las Vegas. The elephant in the room is the customer service is quirky, it’s not what would normally expects in this day and age, so I would say no it’s not right but my suggestion is not berate mom and pops, they are definitely old school,The food does speak for its self, I chose the jerk chicken with rice and peas, vegetables was included along with festive, I was informed that the chicken was going to be spicy , no problem I said, when I received my food I was happy with the portion size, the spicyness was definitely there, I didn’t expect the rice and peas to be spicy also, this wasn’t an issue for me, the vegetables was cooked just right, the chicken was a touch on the dry side, overall I was happy with my Jamaican food in Las Vegas, USA, I will return to check out the oxtail, so in closing overlook mom and pops character and check it out

Food was horrible, rice drowned in whatever sauce they call that. Two old microwaved wings for $25 and didn't get the plantain that was listed with the meal. Got a little piece of dried bread. No customers in the entire place. One lady walked out while I was waiting because no one greeted her or took her order in a timely manner.

The food was just ok. I've had better. I didn't dine-in, but I wouldn't have if I wanted to. They could afford to renovate the place.

Customer service , horrible . It's like they are being forced to stay open. They don't wanna work they don't wanna talk to you they don't wanna explain anything. They wanna charge for jerk sauce when you get jerk chicken. I have always ALWAYS had jerk sauce included. Atmosphere, bad. Looks dirty and old and dusty. They look closed down so I was surprised when they were actually open one day. Not to my surprise , it was not a pleasant visit. I will take my money elsewhere.

We arrived and were never greeted by the guy. We had to ask him if he worked there. I ordered Jerk Chicken, Callalou, rice and peas and veggies. The vegetables were bland, the chicken was luke warm, the rice and peas tasted old. There was absolutely No aroma from the kitchen so I'm guessing all of it was pre-cooked at least a day ago. The seating could use reorganizing and removing the clutter from the tables. Customer service is horrible.
