I was excited when I saw this new place thus I took my wife to check out Tatsujin. I made reservation on a Friday night 6pm which is the earliest possible time. We were the only customers there from 6pm to 7pm which was really nice. After 7pm then quite few people came in. Things that I loved: -Omelette: we had two different omelettes, one with king crab and one with eel. The egg was so light so fluffy. It was simple but very well executed. I never had eel sauce with eggs and it was delicious. -Hokkaido Scallop: The scallops weren't too big but they were succulent and had a very nice and rich seafood flavor. They asparagus was tender with a light crunch. And the sauce just brought both ingredients together. -Dorayaki: This was the dessert plate with red beans filling that sandwiched by two pieces of pancake. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the red beans filling was delicious with right amount of sweetness. -Okonomiyaki: It was a great okonomiyaki, definitely can taste the cabbage, slight crunch oust side and nice and soft inside with just the right amount of sauce. Things I liked:: -American Kobe steaks: we order the fillet and ribeye. Both of them are very tender, juicy and tasty. Small complaint was that both were slightly over cooked than what we asked for. -Black Sesame Ice Cream: it had a nice and rich toasted sesame flavor and it was creamy, solid dessert. -Grilled Shrimp: it was a fine dish, tasted fine and was cooked properly, it was solid but not wowing like other dishes. -Starter: it came with 5 small bites. Greens, eggplant, Mackerel, salmon, and spicy edamame. All of them wee re pretty good but I really liked the mackerel. The fish had a crispy skin and topped with pickled daikon. It was little savory and sour in one bite. Overall it was a very good experience, service was good and the food was carefully prepared and they were excellent. The teppanyaki experience I had at Tatsujin was just like the one I had in Japan which I prefer over the Americanized teppanyaki. I just enjoyed watching the chef seriously prepared the food rather than entertain the guests.

High end teppanyaki!!! Clean and sleek bar seating. Everything is prepared in front of you. Love the fine details on the presentation, service and food preparation. Totally worth the set price for a complete meat. I suggest mAking reservation. I choose the American Kobe steak and my friend got the fish. Both cooked to perfection. We started the meal with small bites appetizers. The egg was hooked perfectly. The scallops were spot on. Ended our meal with bean cakes.

This restaurant is not advertised which makes it a true hidden gem. Reservations are highly recommended in order to secure your seat at the bar which seats about 11 people. The bar is where you see the chef carefully prepare your meal in front of you on an open air griddle. It really gets your appetite jump started by seeing and smelling all of the delicious ingredients. Their small menu offers omakase (chef's selection set menu) 4 course meal. They also include a la carte menu ordering as well in case you want to add to your meal, or of you dont care for the omakase menu. Prepare to spend roughly around $60-100 per person if ordering from the omakase menu. A la carte can run from about $5-75 per item. We chose to do the omakase and it was a fabulous experience. The majority of my party ordered filet mignon, ribeye, shrimp, hokkaido scallop, sea bass. We were able to taste a bit of everything. First we each started with 5 small cold appetizer platter which included seasoned spinach, braised mackerel, marinated eggplant, smoked salmon and spicy edamame. Every bite was filled with umami and a great way to start the meal. Second we had a choice of shrimp or scallop. I ordered the hokkaido scallop and it was cooked with so much care. It was served with grilled asparagus. Super tender and buttery. Absolutely scrumptious. Third we choose our protein. I got the sea bass and it was so good! I loved the fresh buttery taste. Simple and not over seasoned. They serve it with a side of 3 sauces so you can control the flavor and seasoning yourself. Fourth you can choose your dessert, red bean dorayaki or sweet potato. I got the sweet potato and it was like a sweet potato flaky cake, I loved it! Very unique and tasty. All meat cuts were buttery and crazy tender. All seafood was so fresh, buttery and expertly prepared! From the a la carte menu, I ordered the garlic rice. Although the rice is perfect, the garlic flavor was soft almost muted. This place is a wonderful place to try unique traditional Japanese teppankyai style dining.

Went there to go visit my friend Chef Yoshi to get me some quality meat and it did not disappoint because the wagyu beef from Oregon... we ordered the New York steak, filet mignon, the ribeye, and the salmon dinner and a couple other items total was about $380 plus tips...And it was well worth it because there was no silly shrimp flipping in the pocket or crazy a** salt pepper shaken, this place is all about quality cooking by the Chef....Along with the delicious made the desert we had a Dorayaki that was off the hook and I would go back just for that..... The counter seats about 10 people and there was some dining room tables but when you come here the spot to sit at is the bar for sure.... so if you have some extra change in your pocket and you want to eat quality meat cooked on a teppan grill Then this is a must visit when you cut the Las Vegas..... I will be back soon so keep up the great job Chef Yoshi....arigato..:))))

When we first walked in and looked at the menu, we noticed how few items there were on it. I settled on salmon because well, I like salmon. Anyway, it took a long time to order despite the fact that there were like less than 15 items on the menu. When the food came, it tasted AMAZING! The green tea ice cream was delicious as well. The only reason I'd give it a four is because of the long time it took to order/make. To be fair, at the time we ordered, it was late and there was really only one chef. I don't know if there are supposed to be more cooks in the kitchen but the chef did a really great job handling a group of 8 people.

The steak is fantastic. Well worth the price. The service is really really good, and there are a great amount of options. I ordered the filet with a Hennessy sauce and was blown away by the flavors and the texture of the meat. Their drinks are really good as well. I had an apple juice which was possibly the best tasting apple juice I have had to date. My family had the other options on the menu and were not disappointed at all. The music and the atmosphere are so enjoyable! Will definitely go here again.

This place was quite the treat! The restaurant is small but it helps you enjoy the magic that much more. Chef has a course menu and all you do is choose your meat of choice and a dessert. There are additional options available if you're looking to try more. We ordered the rib eye and the swordfish as well as some garlic rice. For the desserts we ordered the doriyaki and the black sesame ice cream which is my most favorite thing ever!! Watching chef work his magic was beautiful. He truly takes his time and is the most clean I have ever seen! I am hoping to bring others here soon to enjoy the same experience I had. There was not one thing chef brought out that I didn't enjoy. I hope you will feel the same!

Incredible gem hidden in an otherwise non-descript strip mall. Small, high end Japanese restaurant, you will be hard pressed to find a better dining experience in Las Vegas or elsewhere!

We visit Vegas several times a year, usually for work so we usually just dine in the hotels and rarely get off the strip. Last night I randomly decided I wanna check out what's on yelp and found this place with 5 star reviews from 40 ppl. Coming from SF I'm usually skeptical about this bc some places would pay ppl to review them. I then checked the pictures, honestly it was the uni king crab omelette that made me decide to give it a try. We had such an amazing time there now it's our favorite restaurant in Las Vegas and I'll def come back again. The dishes were divine, portions are generous as well. The owner and the waiter are super friendly and showed us hospitality. We did the course menu which includes a starter with 5 mini items on a plate, chef's choice of appetizers, a main dish and a desert. My favorite dish being the omelette that attracted me here in the first place. My husband's favorite being the a5 wagyu ny strip which was also amazing. I got green tea ice cream for dessert and the hubby got sweet potato which I highly recommend! We even made friends with another couple who came down from Alaska. It was such a great experience, if you are in town and looking for something genuine, authentic and down to earth, this is the place.

One of Vegas' hidden secrets. Definitely on the same level as Roku, Mordeo. I love how this area off of The Strip restaurants have exploded with amazing dining experiences. =)
