Taverna is home to some of my favorite events (Sunday brunch, popcorn showcase and karaoke on Thursdays, the fil-am showcase), has great food, cocktails, and vibes for indoor, outdoor, and rooftop! They're an anchor venue for shows and an awesome space to build community. I miss the ahi salad but the mule just about makes up for it

Taverna Costera is a very special place. A two-story combination of award-winning restaurant, bar, cafe and beloved live music venue. There are different atmospheres within the place, so you can choose the vibe you want to enjoy. I always look forward to eating their food when I have a show there, and they treat their artists very well (along with all the other guests!).
Recently there was a complaint from a certain artist and their fans about not being allowed to jump on the roof. The owner wants us all to have as much fun as safely possible. The reason this rule is in place is because when a bunch of people are jumping it causes the shelves of the downstairs bar to SHAKE. I've seen it myself. Bottles almost toppled onto the ground. Potential danger to staff and guests alike. Be considerate! The owner is super cool. There is a very good reason we are not allowed to jump on the roof.

Always a great vibe going on there with a different event basically everyday, sometimes 2 events at the same time. Jeff has put the work in and built something dope.
This place has become a kind of hub for the underground music scene, while also serving great food, and offering a competitive drink menu. The staff are genuinely some of the nicest people I’ve come across.
Because of all this we are going to host our wedding afterparty here in May and are so looking forward to it.
I strongly recommend their daytime activities on the weekend. Great deep house bottomless mimosas every other Saturday, and I’ve seen this really great band Jan Jan and the Gentlemen on sundays.
This place is a cornerstone to the arts district. I couldn’t recommend a place to enjoy a meal or cocktail more.
