Overall a good place for the value. Nothing spectacular. Clean. Had a bowling alley upstairs. Good food. TGI Fridays was closed up, but other restaurants good. We originally had a room on the second floor, but our phones would not work with the Wi-Fi. So they had their tech person come to our room and troubleshoot, but ended up moving us to the seventh floor. My brother‘s phone got stolen in the casino so definitely keep your stuff in your pockets.

Rooms: Average

Nearby activities: Everything’s a short drive away. Chick-fil-A, Del Taco and Walgreens across the street.

Safety: Seemed okay. I personally wouldn’t walk around alone though.

Walkability: Depends on what you’re looking for.

Food and drinks: Some close by. Good restaurants inside.

The Smokey needs to be ventilated a little bit better

I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The casino was fun. I liked that the slot machines are spread out such that it never felt crowded. I give the Gold Coast a thumbs up.

Nice quieter hotel. Older crowd which I like because it isn't as rowdy as some of the other casinos I visited. Rooms are nice and great views. They have a shuttle to the strip.

Rooms: Clean room

Walkability: Do not try to walk to the strip. It is much further than it looks!

Do not apply for employment here. I suppose to have a job interview with the management and before the job interview he turned me down without the job interview. Don't apply for employment here. I am not joking. Including I received a nasty email turn down email on my application never received any interviews.

2nd time staying here in the past few months.
1st time the room was spacious and comfortable, with great views of the strip.
2nd time there was no fridge and shower leaked.
All in all a good place for the price. Restaurants were very good.

The front desk staff give terrible directions. This is an old Smokey casino. If you're looking for cheap and don't mind what comes with it, this is your place.

Gold Coast was nice. I like the gambling floor and the smoke is not too bad there had a good time.

Rogelio the bartender was spectacular! He was on point and we were only expecting to stay an hour, but stayed lloner because his hospitality and customer service was superb! We were staying at the Rio, but might change to gold coast next time. Enjoyed our time. Will definitely be looking for him on our next visit.

Feels like a locals casino, but a chinese restaurant inside of this casino is delicious
