We had to wait 30 minutes after ordering our food to be served. The food was not hot when it got to our table. The salad was served in large pieces in a small bowl, unable to cut the salad without spilling outside the bowl. The service was awful, the waitress never came by after she took our orders. The food was not up to par, my chicken tenders were the toughest I've ever had, my husband's fried oysters were cool when served and my son's blackened chicken was a mess and didn't taste good, after a few bites did not want it any more. We stopped our server as she was passing by and my husband asked for more water. The server brought the whole pitcher of water, plopped it on the table and rushed off. This was on a Tuesday evening at 5:30 and the restaurant was almost empty so she did not have many customer tables. This is not the Hush Puppy's we enjoyed a few years ago. Very disappointed with the service, food and cost. The four dinners, without drinks (the server did not even ask what we would like to drink) cost $133.00 which seemed outragious for food not up to par. We will not be going back again.

We just left after waiting for minutes and ringing the bell and no one came to the front. Another couple was there before us, just waiting for someone to greet us and seat us.

This place has gone down. In all aspects, food, service and value. I was charged 7.00 of the glass of wine that I was drinking from, plus the wine. Don't order the clamp chowder soup. Itw wottered down. We won't be back. Not too long ago it was sold to some Middle Eastern person. It truly sucked!

This place is a ghost town that occasionally serves fish. In the past month, I have visited this place four times and have left with nothing. I want you to read that again. I’ve come here FOUR TIMES and left with NOTHING! The first two times I waited for an eternity at the drive-through menu with no one coming to take my order. The third time I went into the lobby, your hostess sat a family and then never came back. The fourth time was today. I went to the drive through no one, then to the front door….locked. I even went to your new “fancy” bar entrance…locked. IT WAS 8:30!! Your fish is SOOO good but it’s not worth the effort anymore. Honestly at this point, pack it up. There’s no reason to stay open if you can’t compete the simple task of serving food. I used to come here for years and had an amazing time. But what happened! What curse do you guys need to lift in order to get good service. Did management hand down owner ship to a child. What’s going on here!
Hopefully one day you’ll get your groove back and hopefully one day I’ll come back and it doesn’t take me 40 minutes to get service.

We decided to visit an old childhood favorite restaurant. The surface was great everybody that worked there was wonderful. The food however was not very good. The fried green tomatoes were orange. The fried fish was overcooked, hard and rubbery. I will go back and try again sometime and maybe it will be better. But for the price of the dishes and the quality of food they put out, absolutely not worth it. Still, the employees were amazing.

This legendary restaurant is under new ownership. I wish they wouldn't have changed the way the food was prepared, the fish is very greasy and the taste isn't like I remember. Unfortunately that was my last visit to this legendary restaurant...

Super disappointed this visit. I’ve come here my whole life, and it’s noticeably gone down hill but the food kept us coming back. Tonight started off fine, no wait, sat immediately and brought our waters. I think the waitress forgot about us as we were sat in a whole separate dining area than her other tables, and waited for at least 10 minutes before she came to the table. Okay, fine. Started taking our orders and proceeded to tell us they were out of several staples items on the menu. Red flag 1. We stayed anyways and waited for our food. Salads came out first, watery and was just gross. Red flag 2. Out entrees came out and i’ve never been so disappointed or disgusted by the food. Catfish was gross. Collard greens (one of my favorite things in general), disgusting. The only redeeming edible thing was the hush puppies themselves. Both my friend and I didn’t touch our plates. The server never came back. I requested a manager and waited almost 10 minutes before I got up and asked for him again. Waited another 5-8 minutes before he came to the front finally after her texting and calling him. He did the right thing and saw we didn’t touch our plates and let us go free of charge. But im so disappointed as this has been a family favorite for so many years. I hope they get it figured out.

This establishment has sadly taken a nosedive under new ownership. Prices have soared, while food quality has nose-dived alarmingly. Not surprisingly, the parking lot was nearly empty when I visited. The tepid service, microwaved tasting fries, and overcooked, bland catfish all speak volumes. Once a bustling venue, it now struggles to attract customers. This current state is truly disheartening. I had to post at least one star, otherwise I would not have given an stars.

I order a 12 piece farm raise catfish around 8 PM when I got home and begin to eat the fish. It was terrible very terrible. It was rubbery No season very thin pieces and in one word it sucked. I wasted 40 dollars on some bad fish I would never go back to hush puppies again.
