Undeniably a chain, with 1953 origins in Portland OR and the famous Walker Bros location in Wilmette IL, Las Vegas’ The Original Pancake House has been owned and operated by Kim and Stephan Freudenberger since 1995.

Created by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke, over 120 Restaurans from coast-to-coast making their name with high-quality Butter, pure Whipping Cream and grade AA eggs, it is from 7am until 2pm that guests can usually expect a brief wait to be seated amidst homey confines featuring smiling service.

Not just Pancakes, the cost of Eggs recently raising prices for baked Omelettes and plates like “The Traditional” served with Potatoes and Meat, Coffee is freely-refillable and pretty basic for $4.99 while additional beverages include Coke products and freshly squeezed Orange or Grapefruit Juice.

A Beard Award winning concept, Vegas’ only location since a store on Charleston burned down in 2012, fans of The Original Pancake House will assuredly recognize both a German Pancake and the smaller Dutch Baby offered with DIY Glaze and a generous rise surrounding the Souffle center.

Opting to also share Bacon, a fluffy Buttermilk Short Stack and crispy Potato Pancakes cooked like a “Smash Burger” online reservations circumvented a wait thus allowing plenty of time to enjoy the signature “Apple Pancake,” a piping hot pile of thinly sliced Granny Smiths teaming with Cinnamon and Sugar atop a buttery golden base proving as much “Pie” as Pancake.

Always a great family breakfast and has been a local favorite.

The pancakes where extremely fluffy and the ham was juicy and delicious.

Great place for breakfast. We had omelets that were huge and delicious, German hash brown was great as well and pancakes were so fluffy. Stuff is super friendly and helpful. It's definitely worth driving there if you are staying in Vegas.

Cherry Crepes are one of a kind,delicious and top them off with fresh made whip cream!!

This is a nicer version of IHOP, with a homestyle feel. The food and service were good. Atmosphere was quiet and slightly standoffish. It’s not a tourist spot; it’s where the locals go to enjoy a good meal.

Ann was our server Saturday morning and she was the best server I have ever had. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and super friendly and fast. We ordered alot food. Her suggestions were on point and she was fast with our orders, both taking and delivering them! The food was very good, atmosphere lovely, but Ann made our experience amazing. I'll be sure to come back for her to wait on us again!
