The Parlour at El Cortez

The manager on duty (Saturday happy hour) very rude and unprofessional. We were charged one price on Friday(we actually bought 3 on Fri) and then $3 more for the same drink on Saturday! We did try to explain that we ordered it based on the price from last night . He said they don't charge that price. Well, that's the waitress/ bartender fault not ours. Anyways he could have been way more professional in front of other guests ..very disappointing

Nice laid back bar. Old school charm. Ordered tequila sunrise. Very good. Comfortable seating. Quaint little place to relax. Enjoyed the music playing in the background. TV playing sports. Subdued lighting. A small bar .Overall it was a pleasant experience. 2nd visit Live music tonight Michael Ross Nugent . Very talented. Enjoyed listening to him. A class act. Music as it should be sung.My server Candace is the best.

The bartender and a local gave us a lot of recommendations and friendly conversation. It was a nice atmosphere to end the night on. I’d love to enjoy a cigar here in the comfy chairs.

Love this intimate lounge. The entertainment is perfect too!

Went here for some rest after some game & slot play in the ElCo. We’ve been before, but not when there’s been an entertainer on. Michael Nugent is an old- school style lounge crooner who belts out the classics with a bit of fun & banter inbetween. He’s a great antidote to the very loud anonymous stuff they play in places like the D and Circa. We had fun mixing with the other drunk tourists, all of whom seemed to know most, or some of the words to the songs. The booze was quickly served via the smallish bar and we were pleasantly surprised at how cheap it was. We’d expected to pay premium prices in a lounge like this, but a glass of wine was only $5. Total bargain! We’d definitely recommend trying the parlour lounge, and if Michael is appearing, don’t miss it on your next trip downtown!

Cool little bar with good drinks. Great place to just relax and have a drink... very comfy chairs. Good happy hour. Bartenders have always been super friendly as well. Good size tvs to watch sports as well.

Overstuffed velvet chairs with lots of room between makes this a great refuge from the casino that is steps away. Several screens with different events and wonderful service from the wait staff. And the daily happy hour is just icing on the cake.

The live piano music the loose slots, the history... what more could one ask for?

Quiet bar located in the El Cortez Hotel and Casino. There was only a couple of customers when I was there so the service was extremely fast. The bartender was a absolute sweetheart and easy to talk to. They do have live music but none when I was there.
